Calypso 4, mini Dyad, Lava, S, Spin.... I'd say '06 is looking like a good year for us. Too bad they aren't all left handed models though.

I've done more cutting with my kiwi in the last week than I have with my larger knives combined, didn't even get any stampedes last night in the grocery store ...

I have a complete collection of Caly Jrs. However, it's still not enough. Need more permutations, different steels, different handles. Hands down my favorite Spydie. I'm never without one or two unless I'm showering or in eyelids off mode.
Here's the list:
Black Micarta PE and SE
Stainless PE and SE ...

My picks, in order, more or less, (meaning it varies from month to month)
1. Caly Jr PE and SE (always number one), does everything well, I carry one of each SE & PE
2. Dodo PE, soooo ergonomic it cuts above and beyond it's blade size
3. Ocelot PE, very "handy" sized blade and handle
4. Para PE ...

A CF Para in ZDP? I'll buy it in a second. But, making it with a back lock so it can be utilized by us left-handers would really sweeten the pie.....

I really don't see what the problem is? I most certainly wouldn't sell one of Spyderco's all time great designs because I couldn't close it one handed. Maybe I'm just a fumble fingered oaf but every time I try to finesse a knife closed with one hand I either almost drop it, certainly drop it, or cut ...

Michael,
I'd hope that you would have "real tools" in your workshop. The Harp is for when you don't have access to "real tools". I'd ...

With the Dodo I now realize what the fuss is all about. I originally bought it because it fits into a sub-category of my Spyder collection, different blade ...

I look at TU - TD preference to depend on where you carry your knife.
For IWB carry TD is preferred. (at least by me) With the tip down the hinge is sticking out from your waistband. It's an easy one hand draw if you pinch the end of the knife between your thumb and first or second knuckle of your ...

Started long ago when AGR offered Jess Horns as Spydercos first flat grinds. I bought a 1. white micarta full size, then a 2. burgundy micarta full size.
Later drove past GP Knives in Troy, IL, stopped in and bought:
3. Vesuvius PE with bug, compression lock
4. Meerkat PE with phantom lock
5. Tim ...

I've only used the Ocelot for a few days and I love it more and more every day. The ergos are superb; it fits the hand better than any other knife that I own. The length seems to position the Spyderhole in the proper relationship for thumb opening. It's hard to explain, but the size of the hole ...

I've been looking for a C54 Calypso for only a few weeks. Which Ebay do you have access to, as I haven't seen one in a while and I check on a daily basis?
The last one I bid on went for over $200....more than I wanted ...

JD,
Extreme co-incidence, as I too received my new Ocelot in the mail today.

Caly variations

Hi All,
I'm trying to complete my Caly collection. I need to know how many variations came with SE. I know the Calypso C54 had a SE version,
as well as the C52 Micarta, SS and the Black FRN. Was the Grey FRN available in SE? I believe that the C52 Burgundy was PE only.
Thanks

I've been lurking out here in the ether just reading for the last six months. I thought it was about time I said "HI" and jumped in on some of the discussion. Caly Jrs are my favorite permutation of Spyders. Given a choice I would forget the bolster, as it is not a Caly with one. I buy every one ...
