Where Do You Carry??

#1

Post by ront »

Not very long ago, someone posted the question of how many knives/tools do you carry at a time. I read that thread and thought that I was not carrying much (generally only 1 at a time) as compared to many of you. Now I guess thatI must not be very creative, but if you carry more than one folder, where do you carry it? I have one in my right front pocket, because I am right handed.
Thanks for any input.

I carry inside the waistband of my pants, between my belt and jeans, to the right of the belt buckle. I found this comfortable (I can crouch without feeling it) and very discreet - the only thing you can see is the bottom of the clip and that's only if my shirt is raised. My undershirt is always untucked just enough to conceal the top of the knife.

Its not as quick as pocket carry, but once I got used to it, its close.

I always carry inside the waistband, just behind my right hip and I usually have a cricket on the opposite side and/or a Jester in the right front pocket. On weekends, wearing cargo pants, it gets worse.

I normally carry my Military. But if I double up and decide to take along a serrated edge as well, my Police rides in my back pocket.

(both on the right side, I'm right handed)

I carry a Persian in my left front pocket(Thanks to STR for making that a possibility), and either a Dodo or Delica 4 in my left rear pocket.

Chad's SF rides in the right front pocket.

Large folder, generally my Stretch on weekdays or my Persian on weekends, in left rear pocket. Kiwi in watch pocket. Burgundy micarta Jester on my keyring, this sometimes gets placed in left front pocket, sometimes in left jacket pocket, and sometimes clipped to strap of my shoulder bag. There is often another knife or two in the shoulder bag either clipped to a divider or slipped in a compartment, plus a Stanley Wonder Bar in the event of a work habitat malfunction.

This is a great chance to announce that I am now going to try carrying two Spyders on me! In the past I have said over and over that I only carry one at a time, but I have finally gotten tired of choosing between my two favorite EDCs. With the Dodo AND the Para equiped, there is no cutting task that I can't handle!!!!(I told you I finally lost it  :p :D ) I will be carrying both in RF pocket, one in the conventional spot, and the other in the pocket that I don't know the name of  :o

I really like pics, so here's some for you, enjoy! :spyder:
P.S. A little pocket wear never hurt no one!

On-Duty I wear BDU's, so I can carry 3 :spyder: s very easy:

Adventura in the Right Cargo Pocket.

SS Dragonfly in the Right Front Pocket.

SS Harpy in the Left Cargo Pocket.

Off-Duty I carry the Adventura in the RFP, and the Dragonfly in the LFP.
Take Care.

God Bless :)

I carry all my knives in my waistband an inch or two behind the seam. I can wave my hand past and presto! I have a knife. :)

I carry IWB left side behind the hip: Caly Jr Black FRN PE. Same position, right side: Caly Jr Black FRN SE. On weekends when slumming and wearing cargo pants, I rotate through several heavy duty folders clipped to right hand cargo pocket: Mille, Para, Lil Temp, Manix, Mini Manix or R2, depending on mood. This is in addition to the Calys. When I need to wear a suit, I replace the heavy duty folders with my Kiwis in right front pocket. I do this in case I need to pull out a knife and not offend the sheep. The only time I'm without my Calys is sleeping or showering. I use both knives dozens of times daily, the PE mostly to prepare lunch and snacks, the SE to cut packages and boxes. Don't need glue and tape residue on my food knife.

neck: ss pe 'fly in O/ST kydex
right/front: the last 4 days has been crkt m16-01cf, before that was the zowada and lil temp rotating.
iwb/right(apprendix carry): ss/se cricket
left/front: vnox huntsman and fisher bullet
left/hip: multitool, lately the lm crunch
right/hip: colibri andromeda and inova x1
right boot: anterior of ankle, inside boot, hole and pivot above boot, ss pe police in custom leather

fatboy:
strap, just above clip: cke custom
front pocket, first aid kit: vnox classic
m2 pouch on strap:
keys: vnox classic
front inner pocket: lm juice
rear inner pocket: rotation choice, usually ss/pe cricket or pelican, today was the subcom

obviously, the neck, boot and iwb carry are concealed... use the clipped carry, vnox or multi during school. So they only get to see 3 toys, 4 of I need the 2nd multi to grip something.
