Re: Would you buy an “Emerson Wave” Endura in upgraded steel?

The thing i'm scared off is that Spyderco will become a luxury brand by using small batches of very high performance knives at very high prices.
I compare it to a lamborghini, very expensive, very high performance and very specialised and fragile. It needs a lot of specialised maintenance and ...

Re: Car Survival Guide?

Don't buy the powdered one. The powder can float in the air and will cloth the moisture in your eyes (the reason why the US military no longer uses granulated blood clothing.
I think 2 or 3 Israeli bandages and a good military tourniquet (TQ) are al you need.
Learn how to use them heforehand. You ...

Re: Car Survival Guide?

I had training in car into the water when i was in law enforcement school. Cars don't sink that fast. The electrical windows will work for a long time, even submerged (as will the lights).
Just relax, and open the windows and exit the vehicle. If for some unusual reason the windows won't open i ...

Re: European Spyderco Owners: your opinions wanted

In Belgium i carry all the time. Due to the fact that i need a valid readon to do it i'm always in a murky situation. Never been checked by police. 95% it's a Spyderco. I carry a clinch pick or a few other Pikal blades as well.
I also like station 9 as a European brand. No customs due to the price.

Re: MBC Slipjoint

In the case of Germany another option is a single edged small fixed blade smaller then 12cm.

But....as in most European countries you still need a legitimate purpose: A "legitimate purpose" is required for carrying in public. This can include professional use (e.g., a chef carrying a kitchen knife ...

Re: Return of the Warrior and/ or Respect?

The warrior isnt technically double edged i think. The first mm on the top side are not sharpened and the second serrated edge does not come up to the point. Iirc this was done because double edged daggers are considered illegal in al lot of places. Because the first mm is not sharpened it is a ...
