A few years ago my cousin was arrested in Manhattan for carrying a Spyderco. An undercover cop noticed his pocket clip. The cop clumsily kept trying to get the knife to open as a gravity knife and, when he couldn't, he opened it with two hands. It really ruined an otherwise great night out. My ...

Finally got my preorder coming from the Cutlery Shoppe. I can't wait! I'm going to use the Yo as my EDC and send my trusty Tasman Salt in to Spydie HQ to get sharpened for the first time. I'm thinking of painting the clip on the Yo as the silver is a bit too eye catching for my tastes. Can anyone ...

Nope.... safe queen over here. It's a shame, but being the LAST one available online from the SFO AND with such a nice laser pattern on the blade (which would be at least "damaged" if the blade was resharpened), I decided to keep it pristine. Besides, I have SO MUCH other Spydies to carry ...

Sadly this is the eventual endpoint of a situation I discussed on these boards a few years ago when my cousin was arrested for carrying a harpy. For those who don't recall, after a night out in the lower east side of manhattan two undercover cops stopped my cousin and I in the street. I was visiting ...

I lost my beloved harpy which had been my edc for many years a while back. I think it slipped out of my pocket at a night club since I never used the belt clip. Well, I learned my lesson! I replaced it with a Tasman Salt that I've worn every day since then, proudly clipped to my pants pocket (except ...

Haven't been to the gym in about a month, but when I do go I have my Tasman Salt on me. As someone else on this board already said, if I have clothes on, I have a knife!

Personally, the spiderweb engraving is what kept me from buying this knife. I was actually in the confirmation portion of the purchase process and just couldn't do it because I didn't care for the web covering the entire blade. After seeing how many people didn't get the opportunity to buy their ...

Had a spontaneous lunch date with my gal when my alarm went off reminding me about this. She asked if it was anything important and I swallowed hard and said "no". True love! The second we were done and I kissed her goodbye I ran back to my computer and ordered mine! Whoo!

I will keep mine as a back up in the event I ever lose my Tasman Salt. Then again, since I have never not carried a hawkbill, I may just buy a replacement and leave the forum knife alone.
