Ha, I love that commercial, the guy that re-enacts the Godfather scene is Paul Yath, one of the best yoyo players in the world.

I actually have more yoyos than knives, maybe I should wear one for self defense. 64g of 7075 aluminum surely pack a punch. I could swing it like a flail! :D

UKPK would probably be legal, but I'd take a two-handed locking knife over a one-handed non-locking knife any day. I've had enough SAKs close on my fingers.

Perhaps if you are willing to cut Sal a check for 600 pieces of either of them, he might consider making an exclusive run of it for you. Bottom line, what "you" would buy, or "I" would buy, or even what 50 die-hard fans of any discontinued model would buy, is a drop in the bucket does not come ...

Carry. They didn't want to criminalize German knife owners, the law was made to contain youth crime. So they said.

But in the debate of the German parliament, it was said that there's no rational reason to carry a "one-handed-fighting-knife". So, knife owner aren't criminals, they're just totally ...

I'll second that. This knife is so great, it's almost boring. :p

I'd buy a Yojimbo and a Lil'T in a heartbeat. Oh, and a blue Dodo, my black one feels lonely.

Yeah, I'll carry a Buck 110 when the law comes into effect, it's a shame that I won't be allowed to carry a Spyderco without "legal reason" (by the way, what the heck? I don't need "legal reason" to do anything in Germany, Art. 2 I GG).

A two-handed Police could be seen as a weapon, so we wouldn't ...

That's exactly the "terror" those terrorists bring to our societies.

It's ok if they investigate, but arresting him? Sheer mockery.

Where I live, it wouldn't be important if it was "reasonable to engage" the robber, his car/money is a legally protected interest and he has every right to defend it - "justice doesn't have to give way to injustice" would be the ...

It seemed to me that Charlynn from the service was a bit skeptical regarding the origin of the screws, but I got them twice from Sypderco, on the knife and in the mysterious bag. She said that there's only one screw set for this knife, and it obviously not the one I got.

The head on the clip ...

I somehow missed your post before, and I wanted to reply to it Tungsten

Even though we are on a knife forum I'd totally agree with you, self defense with a knife is a good thing to know but I agree with you about the baton, I edc a knife, "baton" (a piece of piping I've modified for SD but not ...

Hi guys,

thanks for your comments, good to know that there is something wrong with the screws I have, it was driving me nuts.

I'll have to check the screws again, but the T8 was fitting perfectly if I remember correctly.

Because I have two complete sets of screws, it's unlikely that I'm using ...

Yeah, I tried to take pictures of the things that may be important in this case.

Yeah, absolutely. I have all the parts twice (identical), as Spyderco sent me the spares for my damaged axle screw. "all manners of Dodo screws" is written on the plastic bag I got from Spyderco.

Dodo clip trouble

Hi,

I had some problems with my Dodo's ball lock (ball didn't engage fully sometimes) so although I really loved the shape, I didn't use it for over 2 years.

Now I wanted to give it another try, but I just can't figure out how to attach the wire clip. When I insert the clip in the recess, the ...

Very interesting thread, thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge!

I think I'll have to educate myself on self defense with a knife. At the moment, an expendable baton would be my weapon of choice to be honest. Defending with a knife is not for everyone.

Any recommendations on a knife ...
