My opinion as a material engineer working in several industries:
I do not mind where the knife is produced. I like a great design. Chinas manufacturing is on top of the world when they want to. If a western company can have influence on a chinese company it is a good mix.

Well 17 years after this thread startet, we can check more Boxen with what Spydercos Portfolio offensichtlich.

They are rare in a sense that for the first 8 or so years the PM2 only came in PE.

My Pick would be a Tenacious G10. It Features a lot of Spydercos values and is a great slicer with ergonomic handling.
Everything more than that it is passable that the value will not be seen.

I ordered from them before. No Problems from France to germany.

This beast was eating through gardening hose like nothing compared on the weekend.

Eric talked about it on several Amsterdam Meets that Maniago Italy (Lionsteel, Fox, etc) manufacturers are constantly investing in new machines, Lasers, staff etc.
Unlike some german brands.

Spyderco knives are already quite expensive here in europe.
Usually 40% more compared to US Shops.
Tariffs will make it worse.
I have no Problem spending money for quality, but i have thresholds which i am comfortable spending on the hobby.
For example a vanilla Shaman in Germany is 360€.
