I have had several orders with Dack over the past few years, including this year. Everything always arrived, usually in 4-6 weeks. Never had to contact them about customer service, but sorry to hear you guys have had a lesser experience.

As a pediatric emergency physician and dog owner, I have a pretty extensive collection of stuff. I think the most important things are basic education in first aid, including airway care and controlling hemorrhage, and a calm mind!

As noted in a previous post, only one side has a torx screw. The opposite side is a solid, flat head. The FRN hole is perfectly round, so the entire assembly rotates when attempting to unscrew the torx screw. This is different than the pivot, which has a torx head on each side.

Spyderco added Sal’s maker’s mark to some of the lightweight models a few years ago as a rolling change. Given the Q year code on the box, they might not have put it on these. The pictures show a genuine Delica as far as I can tell.

I have used Vampliers to remove clip screws, then replaced with screws from Lynch. This worked especially well with the Phillips head screws Spyderco used to use and that seemed relatively easy to damage.
