Re: The K2 Thread
First is the lock issue. As others have found out, this beast doesn't work exactly like most of the framelocks we are used to. When pressing on the framelock to disengage it with your thumb you are most likely pressing back trying to engage it with your middle and ring finger. I got bit trying ...

Re: New Spyderco: The WolfSpyder
There's so many things appealing to me about his one but the blade looks really tiny compared to the handle. Is it just the pics?
Other than the Caly 3.5 and Chokwe, isn't this true of just about all Spydercos?
I see what you mean. I agree. This one just seems EXTRA off to me in terms of ...

Re: New Spyderco: The WolfSpyder
I have no problem opening it with the Spyderhole. Of course you can use your thumb only. Lefthand opening works for me, too. It needs two steps: pull the blade out with the index finger, then finish opening it with the thumb. A little bit cumbersome, but works. It's not a tactical blade and i am not ...

Re: New Spyderco: The WolfSpyder
Got mine yesterday (actually two!). Very nice little knife and also much lighter than I thought. This is going to be my hiking knife. Unfortunately on my very first test on wood, about half a millimeter of the tip snapped. I could fix it quickly with the diamond rods, but it leaves me wondering ...

I agree. Sometimes here in Germany I carry an illegal folder (= locking and one hand opening) . But my legal EDC kit is now a UKPK and the Street Beat.

Re: Quick question: Cutlery Shoppe not open for international customers?
I think they charge 25 dollars for shipping to Germany. All went smoothly. If I remember correctly, they also sent it in a way (whatever it takes, correct declaration of value, invoice outside, etc.), I could pay the customs/tax at the post office and did not need to travel the 30 km to the customs ...

No problem for me (also?) in Germany. And I also ordered there some time ago.

Re: Clip, tip-up vs. tip-down
To me how well the knife draws from the pocket is much less important than how the clip get's into the way when actually holding and using the knife. For example I changed to tip down on the GB, because this way I hardly notice the clip when holding the knife and get a much better grip than with the ...

Re: Just got my Manix 2 S110V but not happy.
I always use two fingers to unlock, I also do so with my Griptilian. I think that's the way it's supposed to be done and it feels natural to me. I heard that opening the Griptilian with one finger may be the reason for the famous broken omega spring. I feel that the bearing cage of the Manix could ...
