Quick question: Cutlery Shoppe not open for international customers?

Hi folks,
The title says it all. I never get access to CS website, always get a message that the website is "deactivated". You US guys seem not to have this problem. Any solid information about this?

Hi archangel,

I have no problem to reach their website ( http://www.cutleryshoppe.com/ ) and I am living in Southeast Asia. On their website they stated that to process international shipments they require a $100 minimum order. So shouldn't be any problem.

It might be a browser issue. I live in the U.S. But also get that message when using safari from a mobile device like my phone or iPad. I've never had that issue from a pc

No problem for me (also?) in Germany. And I also ordered there some time ago.

Thanks for the feedback. Indeed I am browsing with an iPad and Safari most of the time, but this happened also with an Opera browser. Must be related to the fact that it is a mobile device. Will try to access the shoppe from a PC.

$100 MOV sucks though... :( What's the shipping cost to Germany, Spydergimbo?

I think they charge 25 dollars for shipping to Germany. All went smoothly. If I remember correctly, they also sent it in a way (whatever it takes, correct declaration of value, invoice outside, etc.), I could pay the customs/tax at the post office and did not need to travel the 30 km to the customs office as usual.
So I can recommend them.

I'm guessing browser issue. For the longest time their site wouldn't load on my Android-based phone in Chrome. Always had to make it load the desktop version.

It has something to do with a recent software change at their site... Mobile users needed to clear the cookie, or some such... (I was able to get around it by "requesting desktop site" in my mobile browser: Chrome/Android)

Requesting the desktop site doesn't fly, neither with Safari nor with Opera. I guess i'd need to kill the **** cookie. But I don't want to kill them all. This is BS.

But I guess with $25 for shipping to Germany, CS is not going to become a preferred supplier for me anyway.
