Peter Herbst. Most sheeple-friendly and practical blade-shape. The Delica CF is a bit too "nice" and pointy to carry often, and the Impala GH is a bit too much of a beast. It's my most TV-watching-open-closed-open-flipped Spydie though. :-) That sound!

We (non-US-resident- forumners) were to expect ferocious justifying of the SUV-craze in the US. Your examples are partly justifiable, but it's more about the fact that SO MANY cars on the highway just carry the driver. That's the same here, don't get me wrong, but still in smaller cars... It does ...

Let's face it - no country in the world uses so much energy per capita as the US. I'm serious about re-thinking about the monstruous "trucks" that many Americans tend to like so much. Worst thing is, it's spreading: Look at the new Lexus SUV, Beemer's X3 and X5, all the bland and shape-less Kia's ...

Because of the ridiculous retail prices here, shops tend to get stuck with their stock. :-)

Stop whining. We pay 2.30 per litre - in EUROS! - for Regular in Holland. Better loose the Escalades and the Navigators and start driving normal cars. ;-)

I actually wondered the same thing when my guthook'd Impala arrived. I think however that because the sharpened section is rounded, it'd be hard to make a "start" with the cut. Ditto that, J Smith. For example, timezone.com (watches) has been ruined into a hopelessly slow and complex mess, too. The current Bladeforums doesn't even let me log in - my password disappears every time I hit enter!

Mine has slightly rough spots in the mentioned areas as well. Also, the lanyard hole-bushing protruded a bit on both sides. Fixed that with my Proxxon. OK, so it's not perfect. You do know how much a - perfect - William Henry costs instead, do you...?

Don't know the blade lengths from the top of my head, but Dutch law is surprisingly lenient - on paper. Butterfly knives have already been outlawed long ago, however.

Here in Rotterdam, any locking knife will be confiscated during the random police-body-searches that are held all over the city ...

Good ol' AAA Maglite. Doesn't exactly darken the sun but good enough to find the keyhole of the car. :-)

A great evening it was. To handle dozens of Spydies, of which some were indeed one-off's from Schempp, and some pre-production, was a real privilege. I'd love to announce one or two knifes that may cause lots of interest but we were to told to keep our mouths shut.

Hi there, and welcome to the Spydie-bin! I'm fairly new as well here, and incidentally, my first two Spydies are a Delica and a Herbst as well. I got a Carbon Fiber plain edge Delica and a plain-edge Herbst, both in VG-10. I hold VG-10 in high regard, even though it was advertised - on the Spyderco ...

Excellent - I never work on Mondays. For once, an opportunity like this doesn't clash with my work... Count me in! I'll come alone.
