Yeah, it seems to have been a pretty disastrous upgrade. I still have a support call in to them because my account seems to have "disappeared" since the changeover...

I hope they get it sorted soon. Maybe they're trying to restore the missing month.

timlara, they lost all info since the latest backup (22 feb or so), so that's why your account was gone. I was back to being a basic member but that was corrected just before it went down again.

Ahhh...thanks, Ted. That makes sense, because my confirmation email says I joined on Feb 28th!

Hope they get a handle on it soon. I've worked in IT for years, so I know EXACTLY what they're going through!

got this message on teh site

24MAR03 - At 0348 hours this morning we experienced a major failure with our database server.
We are not sure the exact cause or problem at this time, however, we have recovered the databases and moved them to another box in our server farm.
If we have a worst case scenario - complete drive failure and data corruption - we will be purchasing
a new database box shortly.
Needless to say, this has been an extremely trying time for all of us, but we will continue to work through these problems to the best of our ability.

Thank you for your patience.

I kind of hope they go back to the old format. The new one was harder to use.

Ditto that, J Smith. For example, timezone.com (watches) has been ruined into a hopelessly slow and complex mess, too. The current Bladeforums doesn't even let me log in - my password disappears every time I hit enter!

Probably the beginning of the end of my frequenting BF. Seen that happen before with timezone.
