Re: Any Truck Drivers here?
I've always appreciated the comfort of carry of longer knives. Police 3 serrated is a big workhorse of a knife that seems to disappear in the pocket. As mentioned, they spend a lot of time driving so it has to ride nice and be at the ready! I personally think the spyder edge is ideal.I like the way ...

Mantra M4 Ti flipper.
Haven't popped into the forums for very long time. Just wanted to stop in and praise the now discontinued mantra flipper. Just and absolute homerun of a knife IMO.

Re: Good Knife for Lawn Care?
Been doing that type work for 18years. Best I have found for all around performance is the police 3 g10 serrated. A serrated edge is almost an necessity... I think the Tasman Salt would be a good choice...The hawkbill blade is useful but has its limitations. I generally have a folding utility knife ...

Re: Calypso Jr. II
It is a very nice design! I could see the benefit of a larger spyder hole and some thumb jimping on the handle...
I would like to see some more sprint runs.
Bright Red g-10 and solid ZDP blade.
Always room for another Caly!

At this point my knife budget is way past blown... It has been a good year and look like it's only going to get better :) I wish I could afford them all!

Google "spyderco civilian + James Keating"...you can thank me later. My sister got a Civie and it was months before I could play with it. And play with it I did after cocktail hour. Got bit and it actually HURT. Not like a PE cut either. Civilians seem to feast on blood with high alcohol content ...

Re: Assist Salt as Survival Knife: Yea or No?
I got one when they came out and have been using it on the water. I am thinking to do a quick write up in the near future.
Oh cool, thank you, I'd like to read about that.
I wonder if Spyderco plans to make them with black handles or only yellow?
Seems like I have seen the in orange ...

Re: Help me spend my money
Well now that we know what the forum knife will be I'm undecided again. I don't own a native, but that's deliberate. I'm always interested in adding more S90V to my collection. I'm not to excited about maroon, FRN or the native model.
Hmm..decisions decisions.
Maybe I can buy the forum knife ...

Re: Looking for a great slicer
Police 3 g-10. I'd expect that the Native ( I.E. 15 forum knife in s90) would be a good slicer too. The stretch 2 in brown g-10 is still available and is in zdp 189. I can tell you first hand that it's a great slicer! If I had to pick on I'd go for the police, its a great all around knife!

super gold
Honestly, I thought they would be too busy to pull this off, so the whole thing is a bonus to me! Great idea, and some really great guesses!

Re: Undisclosed 2015 sprint runs?
Ok, I guess I'll go first... on the Jester that is! I like the larger knives but have a few smallies to fill the niche. I like the design and that bellyful blade of the Jester and feel like it's more of a small knife than delica or caly 2 yet nice premium materials. I haven't been able to buy one ...

Re: Is there a Para 3?
Sal is probably more cognizant of blade length laws and more customer aware than any other manufacturer. Maybe because he lives near Denver that has such laws. This is to put a great knife into more hands legally. I can carry whatever here in AL but applaud the decision

Re: Good medium to large slicer blades?
I went back and flicked a few knives again after I wrote the post above and have to say, with some of the backlocks it's not as consistent as with BBL's & comp locks. You have to think about it and have a little snap in your finger and maybe a little hand movement sometimes to make it work ...

Op, from what you mention, I have to suggest the endura 4 ffg. It will be a wonderful change of pace from the "tank". I would recommend vg-10 steel to anyone. A few weeks back I was using mine to clear some small saplings between trees for a hammock. I was able to bend them over and cut into the ...
