Re: Real Gayle Bradley 1?

This is an early run. They didn't say Taichung at first. Are the liners skeletonized? Early ones also had solid liners. IIRC the first run didn't have the GB Weatherford logo either.

Hard to pick a favorite. I probably carry a Manix 2 the most often. The magnacut and SPY27 ones have been taking turns.

Re: Remember - 2018 Forum Knife - PM2 CPM S90V

The hardest part is getting a consensus on a knife they would sell enough of . Like who wouldn’t want a forum knife that was a native 5 compression lock special run to test the waters.

I bought the 2013 forum knife. It was a Native 5 with S110V (was not a common steel at the time) and had a ...

Re: Spymyto is hot!

If you own a GB2, this lock feels like a silk pillow in comparison.

My initial impression of this knife is quite good. Feels very nice in hand and looks even better, too.

And the GB is like a silk pillow in comparison to the GB2. Still not difficult to unlock once you figure it out.

I ...

Re: Spyderco and hrc

Rockwell hardness numbers are used to spot check if the heat treatment was done properly. If you aimed for 58-60 but samples tested 53 or 65, then you can infer that something went wrong. The number tells you nothing about the microstructure, though, and that's what actually matters. Publishing the ...

Re: Cerakoted my 15v Mule

Looks great! I originally thought about doing this with my 15V, but it has been more corrosion resistant than I expected. Maybe because of that nice bead-blasted finish?

Regardless, seeing how good your black on black on black mule looks, and now I'm thinking about it again. I have a T15 and ...

I just use the brown stones anymore. You can get a pretty refined edge with the F and UF, but I get clean phonebook paper slicing from the brown stones, so I stop there.

Re: 15V Mule Team scale bolt holes

I tried my second 15V mule and the holes were clearly the right size because I had no trouble getting the scales attached. So I’m 1 for 2 on correct sizing.

Re: Blade HQ Mint Green M4 Manix LW

I have many slipjoints in 1095 that cannot be disassembled. They don't need it. I've used a GB1 in M4 for years and it's doing just fine without ever having been disassembled. Rivets vs screws is totally irrelevant to me. I don't have a Manix in M4 yet so I plan on picking up this one.

Re: Price increases 2023?

I have plenty of knives already. I bought 5 or so Spydercos when the "MAP holiday" was in effect because the prices looked good. Unless one really catches my eye, I'll be holding off.
