I believe it was an extra 1/2" when it was prototyped but it never came out, sadly.

are you talking about the same handles with more blade? looking at mine, it seems that another 1/4" would be pushing it with the size of the scale gap. i have the sheepsfoot. not sure if that makes a difference.
