I waited years before I bought the Military. I kept reading on forums how great it was, but I resisted.
Of course, I finally bought one (black s30v blade, black G10) and it became my favorite knife. It's a big knife, but it carries much smaller.

I've been in to knives for a long time. I've admired Sal and his family, as well as his Spyderco employees for a long time.
I'd just say "You all rock!" and "Thanks for what you have contributed to the knife community." and "Sal, you are one cool dude."

I'd hate to give up my Manix 2 XL.... but if I had to pick one, I'd keep the S30V Military.

I love the original large Manix. It's built like a tank, and I've always had an affection or lock back knives. I bought an extra large and a small for backup.... I've never used them because the 1st ones I got wont wear out.

I have a 1st run moonglow Manix 2. Gunslinger is correct - you can't see the liners. I also have an EDC moonglow knife (I think it's a Native. I haven't gotten it out in a while) from a few years ago.. The glow from recent 1st run moonglow Manix is incredibly bright. It's like a night light in a ...
