For the past 7 years I carry an atr daily on duty and the cobra hood is fantastic. When wearing slash gloves or winter gloves it makes it that much easier to use. That being said I wouldn't buy a small knife with one.

I think a lot has to do with disposable income and age. I know when I was 25 and younger I wasn't going to spend 30 bucks for a key chain knife (beer). But I grew up and now spend way to much on knives in general.

Yep inflation all right. For example the popular GB MSRP in 2010 was $214 now it's listed at $269 ouch. But 55 bucks over three years isn't to bad.. Or is it?

I would have to say an ATR stonewashed with any steel. Loving the stonewashed finishes coming out.

My new favorite way is with the flipper

Just saw a utube video comparing southard with the techno and the zt561. Think it was done by "blade hq". Can't wait for this one.

Another vote for the atr with an upgraded steel.

Up here in the cold tundra we use challenge coins at the LEO/ military pubs gatherings. The idea is if someone pulls the challenge coin out and slaps it on the bar everyone must do the same. Easy! Techno, Yo 2, and Tuff. IMO you pick these three up and you will be good until 2013.

For me it is the ATR. 3 Black, Stainless, and Ti all users because they demand to be used!!

I don't know what you lefties are complaining about just become a righty and enjoy this little beast. Imo the ff is probably the best I've seen on any of my ti spydies. (the tuff ff is also outstanding). Highly recommend this one.

I really don't care of the material used I just want some colored clips. Ti clip would be cool :) . I just don't want painted because they look ratty to fast. It's only wire so how hard can it be!?

I would love some after market color wire clips. My new techno is screaming for a blue clip to compliment the blue backspacer. Does anyone know of some after market options?

So the title says it all. This summer due to the heat I have been finding some of my pocket dwellers are rusting up and In particular my ATR.

Now that Golden has H1 Steel is it possible to produce an all H1 knife like say an ATR?

And yes I'm to lazy to oil my knives regularly.

I carry an ATR plain edge black for duty.
Reason #1 Is the slim profile it has. I have 30 plus spydies and it is the slimist it's the easiest to grab from the front pocket from under my duty belt.

Reason #2 When wearing my slash gloves the cobra hood makes it easier to open.

My hobbie is being a pilot however I cant afford a Citation Jet so I fly a Cessna 150. Just saying....

I love the ergos of the sage but not loving the leaf shape blade. I would love an "S", hawkbill or wharny shape on the sage 1 or 2 handle. I know it defeats the whole sage series idea but my 2 cents.
