So the title says it all. This summer due to the heat I have been finding some of my pocket dwellers are rusting up and In particular my ATR.
Now that Golden has H1 Steel is it possible to produce an all H1 knife like say an ATR?
And yes I'm to lazy to oil my knives regularly.
Salty sweaty pants needs an all H1 ATR

With stainless occasionally cleaning should suffice. If its soaked with sweat that's fine but wash/dry it each night.
I went hiking with my M4 Manix2 and Opinel carbon. No issues at all. It comes down to the steel's properties to resist corrosion and the intensity/duration it's submitted to.
All that said, I want an ATR redux bad! :)
Ps: David, Ti would work as a rust-proof alternative. Though H1 and Ti in today's market = small fortune.

Yeah i would've mentioned Ti but figured the cost would be crazy considering what the Ti Militarys are going for. It would be cool to see a knife in H1 that has something beyond FRN handles.Blerv wrote:With stainless occasionally cleaning should suffice.
