I saw that a few weeks ago and finally decided to pick one up, but it seems to be gone from the site. Anyone know any different?

ATE,

By fuschia, do you mean the hot pink one? If so, it and the lime green one are very bright and eye-catching.

Great choice as a secondary or even tertiary blade.

What's amazing to me is how hot a blade will get when slicing through a bunch of corrugated.

I once sliced about 10 sheets in half, about 3 feet wide each. I touched the side of the blade to my lip, you know, to check just how hot it really was. Left a tiny little red mark above my lip.

The Navigator, in any of it's iterations, isn't a bad little pocket knife. Not much bigger than the Cricket with a bigger, more ergo handle and thicker blade if that's a consideration.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

In a thread a while back, it was asked who comes up with the names for Spydies. Well, I don't have a clue, but whoever named the Jester sure got it right.

The Photons are nice enough, but the ARC AAA offers a couple of advantages.

AAA battery is way easier to find than the button cells used by the Photon.

Arc has an inverter circuit that continues to pump out a more consistent bright light throughout the life of the battery, where the Photon will ...

I've placed the 204 base upside down in a vise, wrapped with a cloth of course. Then place the two medium stones in the slots on the bottom of the base.

A bit easier, for me at least, to maintain a consistent angle. Plus, with both stones, you'll have a bit more stability for that angle.

It's ...

Vamp,

Where did you get a green Spydie hat?

I love my navy one with the off-center bug, but green would be cool.

Never have had an EDW. Don't wear one, excepting special "dress" occasions once or twice a year.

The best inexpensive small EDC Spydie is the Dragonfly. The Meercat is alright, though I find it too thick in my pocket. The Cricket is way cool, but a bit specialized for EDC with it's "S" blade.

I always get through to them at www.eknifeworks.com.

Along with a couple of really low Spydie's, they also have a Rusty Wallace Collectible Car Knife for only $2.25. Woohoo....

Where to buy kitchen knives?

What is your favorite place to buy Spydie kitchen knives online? Looking to pick up four or five and would like to shop around a bit.

Thanks,

Shortage? Don't know. I got one from New Graham about a week ago.

Took me a good ten minutes, even with the instructions, to figure out how to close the darn thing.

Pretty much a "chunky" Navigator.

Hope you get yours soon.

My newest, coolest little Spydie, a maroon micarta Jester, does not list the steel type on the blade. (Not much room, anyway.)

I think it's aus-6.
