I don't know about toughness, and I haven't used M2 much, but S90V holds an edge like nobody's business and seems to take minor things like hitting hardened drywall screws in stride. And it doesn't rust readily, either. My S90V Military is my go-to knife for hard work.

I think I read somewhere that X.15 holds it's edge a bit longer than H1 but H1 is much more rust resistent. That's all I know.

S90V.

They are trying to do four release a year. Since the second one, M4 steel, came out a short time ago one guess was April for S90V. Sal wrote they don't announce dates until items are in stock since missed dates cause disappointment.
