Re: Reveal 19 - Live!

I'm very happy to see a 15V Chief! :smiling-cheeks I thought it might happen, but was not sure if there was any 15V left.

I refuse to buy Chinese knives (or anything else if possible)!

Re: Sage 6 opened in pocket and bit me good :)

The button on the Sage 6 does stick out proud from the scales, and I’m wondering if it is possible to have the knife open if you were to lay the knife on a flat surface, button side down, and push the knife flat. It may be more of a ‘2nd detent/single detent’ question at that point.

The ...

Hoping for a Chief. Don’t even need to be DLC…
A MagnaCut Chief with the new black G-10 would be great! I'm fine with/without DLC.

Re: Sage 6 opened in pocket and bit me good :)

happens much more easily with detent based locks.

bit by a para 2 tip up and a tip down military 1.

carrying against the seam of the pocket or carrying tip down aren't magic bullets, it can still happen.

this is the #1 reason I prefer locks with a self close bias, whether its a lockback ...

I voted "Other" to include MagnaMax. MagnaCut (G-10) would be nice too. I was disappointed we did not get a 15V Chief.

Are Shaman (& Bodacious) grips usually fairly smooth? I have a Bodacious with G-10 that is too smooth for my preference - I'm wondering if Shamans are the same way, including the KC burlap micarta special?

Been wanting for some time. Got it discounted at NationalKnives. I have a plan to do a scale swap. Its gonna be so cool; will share pics when it's all done.
It's a great knife - I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! I'm looking forward to your photos.

Re: Is k390 overrated?

Looking at Larrin's data for high-speed steels, I noticed at least a few are rated "4" for corrosion resistance, including K390, M4 and 15V - I'm guessing in real world use there are probably differences between these three when it comes to resisting rust – has anyone had experience with 2 or all 3 ...

Got mine from KSF. It arrived earlier today.

Mine came sharp and centered, with a good detent.

Nothing much to say yet as I have only cut some paper with it so far.
That is a nice looking knife!

How is the lock engagement & release, pretty smooth I imagine?
