Re: DLT Cruwear purple Para3

I guess I'm confused why people are calling this a "fiasco". It certainly wasn't a good look for DLT. Their site crashed during the PM2 sale and then today, after assuring customers that experience wouldn't be repeated... had the server crash before the Para 3 even went on sale. When you do worse t...

Re: Gayle Bradley 2

I totally missed that in your original post. My bad. The lock is definitely the low point in the design. I'd like to see a CQI where they make it easier to access and actuate and smooth out the pointy bits. The knife would be a 10/10

Re: Gayle Bradley 2

Mine was sticky as well. Take a pencil and with the knife closed, draw on the part of the blade where the lock catches when the blade is open. It took a few applications for it to take permanent, but it smoothed it right up immediately.

Re: Are you EDC'ing your WATU...

Yep! It’s everything you mentioned and has a very satisfying action. I did have to sand the Spydiehole a bit because mine was so sharp it was shaving down my fingernail. That’d be my only real complaint. Great knife

Re: 1st Impressions Of The New SpyOpera

Then why don't you guys just use one of the alternative, actually imho even more convinient ways of closing a backlock where you don't let the Ricasso drop on the forefinger? Or the one where you generally keep all fingers out of the blade path completely? Because I'm used to closing the...

A bunch of mine have that. I believe it’s from the robot they use in Golden, although I can’t say 100%. Just my theory.

Re: 1st Impressions Of The New SpyOpera

Aaaaand...I just got my first knife cut in years closing this thing. :( Gotta remember to choke up all the way with the index finger as there is no room for error like on the Delica, Endura, Native, etc! Precisely why I decided to hold off on this one. I could tell by the design that was going to h...

WATU WATU WATU. no one talks about it, it's so **** good.
Yes! The Watu gets no press, but it's one of the few knives I wouldn't let go. That thin 20CV blade is something else.

Re: Ikuchi

I had the exact same experience. My fingertip was on fire after just a few flicks so something had to change. I first took it apart and cleaned/lubed it to see if that would help. No dice. After that, I decided to bend the lock bar to relieve some pressure. I actually went too far on the first try s...

Re: Who is actually going to carry their Bombshell?

I’ve been EDCing my Bombshell since day one. First thing I cut with it (other than paper) was some tree branches that were scraping my Tahoe when I parked under them. Worked a treat. Just sliced up a box so it would fit better in the trash. I sharpened it up to a mirror edge with my Edge Pro Matrix ...

Re: S30V Support Club

A good example of this is the Watu--really not a mass market knife, straight to a high end steel, very popular. I have a Watu heading my way for that very reason. If not for the 20CV I likely would've passed. I have nothing against S30V (I ordered an Ikuchi the same day), but if I'm buying a more e...

Re: Poor experience with LC200N edge?

I have the same dent on my Spydiechef. It was there brand new out of the box. My blade won’t hit the standoff even if I press it down hard so I figure it’ll sharpen out. Must happen at the factory somehow.

So yeah, I don’t think it’s an LC200N problem so much as it’s a Spydiechef problem.
