It appears that Blade HQ finally got their email/text notifications back online and working properly because I received both a text and email notification about the 15V PM2 at the same time and when the PM2 was made available for purchase. I think there are probably quite a few people who signed up for both notifications and then instantly went to the site to purchase.

Thank you for discussing this in the correct thread. I wish other people could read simple instructions in the other ALERTS ONLY thread...

I got Hooked on Phonics for Christmas. I think it’s paid off.

Felt it was appropriate to share this reply by one of the admins TazKristi, originally posted in the 15V PM2 alert thread in case people missed it...

Here's an alert for everyone. This is a discussion forum. I've been following the various threads and comments... all of them. There is no reason to be rude or to offend new(er) (or longtime) members. Our forum rules do not preclude anyone from commenting in any thread (unless a Spyderco staff member closes it). It doesn't matter which side of this "argument" you fall on, rudeness is not necessary. People come here to enjoy their time. Kindness is easier - be kind.

I completely understand the purpose of these "Alert" threads, but an alert about inventory should not (and will not) go against the very core of this forum. We're a unique forum with a wealth of information from very good people. We appreciate the passion for Spyderco, we truly do. But that passion is shared amongst nearly all of the members. The hunt for new products (limited or otherwise) shouldn't be the reason we fail to respect one another.

For those of you hoping only to see a notification for an inventory alert, please be patient with someone who, in their excitement (or disappointment), posts something else.

For those of you not posting about inventory in an alert thread, please try to refrain from posting something else, knowing that subscribed members will receive an e-mail notification about your post that isn't in line with the original intent of an alert thread.

I'll continue to review the posts and suggestions and the options we may have within the forum software to determine the best way for us to move forward. But in the meantime, please be patient and, above all, be kind.

With these selling out in less than a minute, that $300 deal on Ebay a few days ago isn't looking so bad.

Welllllllll.....I got both notifications but missed the elusive Big Brown Bear. I was hopeful to score one from Blade HQ and as soon as the text notification came thru the link show Out of Stock. Oh well the hunt continues. Phuee..this knife is gonna cost me😢.

Yup...that’s why I am thinking. If anyone was able to get one from Spyderco Online store with shipping and a Lynch Clip you would be in the 300 + range.

I want one of those. But not going to put in the effort for a brown PM2 when I’m no steel nut. Meh

I’m getting lit up with alerts but not seeing the new posts, so something is going on but I don’t know exactly what, haha.

This is crazy. I’ve been able to get every sprint run I’ve ever wanted, but not this one (at retail).

These aren’t on my must have list, but if one were to pop up I might grab one. It would be really funny if there were a second wave to the release and all the flippers got stuck with the first batch.

Question for Mr Beau.
Can you tell us how many PM2 will be made on this sprint run?

Ha!.. Mr Beau. :grin-smiling-eyes
I don't know how many they made. It does seem like it's starting off like a typical sized Sprint Run. But any number I threw out would just be a guess.

Guessing I'm not going to get 15V in these small knives. Hopefully the Military, Manix2 XL, Police4, and Native Chief will have 15V runs.

Do you still believe that the dealers will make big drops in the next couple of weeks?

Professor B. Fucco?

Sir Beau? If you’re English or a member of a Commonwealth nation…?

President Fucco?
