Re: Bodacious Thoughts
I received my Bodacious in S90V with Carbon fiber scales.
I am perfectly fine with G10 and S30V or maybe SPY27. What I am never fine with is slick G10, hate that stuff, so better to
go with the upgraded steel and CF.
Truth be told I love the S90V / Carbon Fiber combination on most Spydercos ...

Re: Bodacious Discussion
For those that own both: how do you compare the Bodacious to the Shaman? I have the Shaman and love it. Should I get a Bodacious to keep it company?
I had a Shaman, and now have two Bodacious and no Shaman. I just prefer the Bodacious in every way. More blade length, thinner blade stock so it ...

Re: Are there any hunters out there?
Fixed blade is 1000x better for field dressing. A Moran is the way to go, infinitely better than a Shaman for that kind of work.

Re: Spyderco service really this bad
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and to Spyderco in general. I decided to buy a couple after seeing a lot of positive reviews on YouTube. That appears to be a mistake. While trying to remove the pocket clip I was unable to remove the screw and ended up rounding it off with my torx screwdriver. I ...

This plus the recent new way of making steel that reduces carbon emissions by up to 90% would be two huge steps towards more sustainable (and thus, hopefully, more economical) steel market

Re: Bodacious lightweight salt
A Bodacious Salt would be incredible. The Bodacious ruined my rotation…it’s pretty much all I carry now. It’s just better than all the rest. I’d love some variety again and a salt would be great.

Re: Bodacious first Sprint and exclusive?
The projection talk itself appears to be projection. Everyone discussing the lack of sales here has said they like it and want sprints/exclusives, no hate I can see. Ask a dealer you are close to, or the price drop for this year should tell you its status.
Anyway another awesome exclusive that ...

Re: Bodacious first Sprint and exclusive?
It hasn't been selling. It didn't sell anywhere at the original price and was panned. Small dealers with just a couple on hand didn't sell out right from the first release, which is never a good sign. At MAP sales it sold a bit more but still not particularly well. I was hopeful the price ...

Re: Bodacious first Sprint and exclusive?
I'm honestly wondering if sales demand is actually suffering a bit for the model.

Re: Blade Choice for a Spyderco Paramilitary 2: CPM-S30V vs CPM-S110V?
I have one in S110V, and if I were you I would go with S30V. The 110 chips too easily for me in general use farm type tasks. It’s also harder to sharpen, which doesn’t really bother me, but the S30V is so easy to get a super sharp edge that is much more durable, that I would go that way.

Re: A peak behind the curtain at the Bodacious
The 2025 pricing on the Bodacious is in place at some dealers. I hope the new pricing moves the needle on sales. I ordered one, the blackout version, when I saw the change.
That's a much more reasonable price, so I agree and hope it helps sales. I'd love to see exclusives start to go out with ...

Hope they don’t make it
Why? Just don’t buy it if you don’t like it, but why would you not want them to make it? So people that do want it don’t get it? I don’t get that.
Anyway, it would be awesome. I love the Bodacious, it is a phenomenal knife. The best of the larger Spydercos by a good ...

Re: Bodacious + Shaman Comparison Thought
My new Bodacious came in, and for me it is significantly better than the other similar size folders I have, and I much prefer it over the Shaman. My favorite in that general size was the Manix 2, but Bodacious is better. It has better feel in the hand, and longer usable blade length in a same handle ...

Re: The near perfect folding hunter
That would be serviceable, but the Moran is so much better than any folder I've used that to me it makes them obsolete, unless I was in a pinch. Way easier cleanup, better corrosion resistance, better blade shape.

DACK Outdoors has a free shipping event today if you add another product off of their sale (I added $2 ear plugs), so the Bodacious was $172 out the door (they don’t add tax in VA).

Re: What do you want to score on Black Friday?
I want a good deal on a Bodacious. I was going to wait for a cool exclusive, but will pull the trigger on a normal one if good deals are to be had. At MAP it's too high for me.

Re: sales tax
I inquired with Spyderco about 4 months ago on this very issue and Finance replied that they can only charge one sales tax price per state. They cannot do it per zip code. They said they are going to move to a new system but I guess that is not a priority for them to charge accurate sales tax. It ...

Re: SPY27 Shaman In Stock
Am I alone in thinking Shaman pricing is absurd?
Hi Soban,
Welcome to our forum.
What is the basis for your statement? We don't think that the price is unfair for the product. We operate on relatively fixed margins. Pricing is based on costs to produce. We believe that "to charge as much ...
