Agree with the science but wonder why the HIGHER RCs sure seem in great STEELS to out-preform the same steel with less hardness by doubling the cuts...

54 (heat treatments 565 to 1010 degrees)
TO 64 (heat treatments 565 to 2150 degrees)

Replaced my TOTO toilet seat - the one with SOFT CLOSE with BOTH the seat and the cover. I POPPED the plastic lids open to get to INSTALL the large plastic screws and special lock nuts on the bottom....

It was a tight fit - the replaced seat had a bigger area where a small small screw driver would ...
