Re: Help me list all the available Spyderco liner/frame locks

Oh, along the same lines as the initial question... Does anyone know of the polestar/alcyone family will be transitioning from bd1 to bd1n?

Help me list all the available Spyderco liner/frame locks

Hello everyone, In the never ending evolution of my carrying preferences, I think I want to start carrying liner/frame locks. Can you help me by listing all the available models (and their steels) that fit in those locking categories. Thank you! Any shameless plugs or recommendations for a particula...

Re: Spyderco multi-tool?

I think spyderco would make a leatherman skeletool better than leatherman. Easy one hand opening and closing knife, with integrated pliers and a couple of screwdriver options, in a very compact package. Keep it simple.

Re: SEKI-CITY JAPAN looks hand etched

I think all said above makes quite clear that the knife is genuine. That being said: Especially hard steel can't be the main reason for the wonky edging, given that obviously many V Toku 2 blades have it... not exactly the hardest in the world, right? Looks cool, btw, that edging... Especially sinc...

Re: Cost of Sage 5 LW

Don't forget the chap lw price of 87 for a comparison, especially as a Taiwan model like the sage. I'll let someone smarter do the math on that between g10, carbon fiber, and FRN in the chap series

Re: Caribbean vs Military

Wow Lance, I still haven't had the pleasure of holding a Caribbean yet, but it sure looks like its ergos would be hard to beat. I believe the handle would fill my grip much better than the military. S110V is a chore to use sometimes. And I say this having used it more than any other blade steel. It...

Re: Compression Lock questions?

Personally I prefer the compression lock so much, I almost don't use or buy any knife without it anymore. For me it's not necessarily about speed of closing (which it has been argued recently, that it's not any faster than the lock back specifically. And I think that is actually fairly accurate when...

Re: Help with a PM2

At some point they changed the angle of the plunge grind/ricasso (i think it's called that), from what your showed, to a more square looking one. The angle of the grind, makes the print look not square on these older ones. It looks like my older version of a PM2. Not saying for sure it's real, but t...

That seems shocking that you would have to sharpen rex 45 more often. I am interested in why that would be!

Re: Have recent releases confused you?

Bad form to knock the OpFocus program. I’m grateful for it and recognize that Spyderco’s dealer network comes first. Waiting for SFO to show “in stock” is just part of the process. As the OP, my intent was to get a handle on what’s going on with getting stuff (I’m now reminded of the Kapara and the...

Re: Have recent releases confused you?

Yea the opfocus program has been pretty frustrating. I've been calling every other week trying to get multiple different knife models and none of them are available. It's hard to be a benefit/appreciation for military and first responders if the knives are never in stock.

Re: AFI Performance Flash Batch

I see a lot of request for the delica here. I do like the delica, but it's plenty thin enough for me the way it is. I'd prefer a classically thicker model, slimmed down and souped up in some way. E.g. The military/paramilitary series. Etc You have to keep in mind that picking a thicker model means ...
