Yojimbo 2 lock is sticking.

#1

Post by Fr12nk »

My Yojimbo 2 blade was tight to open so I sprayed some oil and loosened the pivot screw. Now when I close it the lock sticks, it never stuck like that before moving the pivot screw. So did I make the compression lock bar slide further into the knife by loosening the blade and adding oil?

Make sure there is no oil in the lock area and on the lockbar

You could also try loosening the stop pin and rotating it a wee bit.

Googling "stop pin trick for compression locks" will be helpful. Pretty easy fix and good to know.
Cheers....

I took the whole knife apart cleaned everything a spun the stop spin, and it's still sticking. I think the detent is too strong so Im thinking that I need to bend it back some.
