Do you like Beethoven's 9th? and no he's not a knife maker

I really enjoyed this and thought I would share. If you like Beethoven's 9th symphony, you will love this. A little girl approaches a man with a double bass and a hat on the ground, and it grows from there. Enjoy.

Thank you for this, Doc -- breathtaking in many ways.

I'd certainly like to know how they technically engineered and recorded the performance --
-- that's very complex pre- and post- production there, folks..!! ;)

Beethoven is wonderful for a first step into classic music followed by Mozart.

Maybe...
Well, I guess Vienna could also use a music flashmob.
Gotta go, make some calls...

Thanks once more.

Hey Doc do you remember the movie "CLOCKWORK ORANGE" by chance? That movie was not only a very controversial flick for it's time but the Beethoven music in it was truly genius. I used to have the soundtrack of that movie and played it often.

It seems like there was another Stanley Kubrick movie that had Beethoven music as well. Just thought you would want to check it out. >>> JD

Watching this beautiful moment unfold with so many people holding up phones and cameras, I was reminded of a John Mayer lyric:

"Didn't have a camera by my side this time. Hoping I would see the world with both my eyes...no more 3x5's"

Sometimes we need to leave the devices alone, take it all in and allow our mind and soul to hold that moment forever.

Thanks for posting Doc.

Thanks for the video, Doc. Truly a wonderful song and such an awesome experience for those who were there. The little kids were hilarious and I'm sure they'll remember that for the rest of their lives.

I prefer Beethoven's solo piano work over the orchestra stuff. Of course, Moonlight Sonata is a favorite.

I visited Beethoven's birthplace museum in Bonn last summer. They have computer terminals with headphones that allow you to compare and contrast themes within Beethoven's music. It is amazing how much of Beethoven's technical innovations over his lifespan were fully realized in this masterpiece.

I saw that video last week. Every time I've been in a city since, I've been looking around to see if might happen there.
