In my modest opinion i want vote for classic FRN endura and delica, they are great products with cheap prices compared with quality. Im not a big fan of endura even if i have one, i have to admit its a great knife compared with price.

With the caveat that a major factor in the true value of any tool is it's suitability for the task or tasks one wishes to use it for, I'd have to say that, if you are right handed, the CF Sage and, when it is released, the new titanium Sage RIL, offer top shelf materials combined with excellent fit and finish at extremely reasonable prices.

IMHO, the best value today is C41 FRN Native. For little over $40 you can get the knife with great steel and great ergos, also I love a finger choil.
In addition I consider 75 mm Persian, Caly3 G10/VG10, and Sage are very good values. All of them available under $100 (80+ on the bay), but F&F and handle materials are level up to compare with Native, also Caly3 and Sage have FFG blades. Persian has micarta scales, bolsters is the great choice for EDC or dress-up occasions.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

Cutting bang for the buck, I'm voting for a Byrd. My other top choices are the Centofante 3 or 4, depending on your taste in blade shape. Of course, if you're a fisherman, a Salt is the clear winner.

I can't believe nobody's mentioned the Tenacious! You can find them for $35.00. Full-flat ground leaf blade, G-10, and the Spyderco round hole. Dang good value if you ask me.

I will go a different direction...

The Military...

You can often find the knife for a tad over $100...

For a full sized tactical folder, G-10, S30V steel... That is a bargain.

MarkG makes a good point, it's often not the lowest price, but the best product for money spent.
learning it the hard way...

And that is a good point. However, despite the fact that I EDC a Millie, I am still going for the Native as one of the best values in the knife world.

The Tenacious. Nothing comes close for the money. Period.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

+1. The CF Sage is without a doubt the best combination of materials and price my opinion. Can't wait for that Sage RIL.

Endura/Delica. Simple knives, tough knives, well-built knives. Unlike the Native, you can open it up and clean it or tweak it if you like. For ~$50, I say the Delica and Endura are the best value.

Waved Endura! This is, all around, simply an amazing bargain. VG-10, FRN with steel liners, the wave...this knife is outstanding. This knife is light, strong, great steel...and remarkably inexpensive.
