With the caveat that a major factor in the true value of any tool is it's suitability for the task or tasks one wishes to use it for, I'd have to say that, if you are right handed, the CF Sage and, when it is released, the new titanium Sage RIL, offer top shelf materials combined with excellent fit and finish at extremely reasonable prices.

IMHO, the best value today is C41 FRN Native. For little over $40 you can get the knife with great steel and great ergos, also I love a finger choil.
In addition I consider 75 mm Persian, Caly3 G10/VG10, and Sage are very good values. All of them available under $100 (80+ on the bay), but F&F and handle materials are level up to compare with Native, also Caly3 and Sage have FFG blades. Persian has micarta scales, bolsters is the great choice for EDC or dress-up occasions.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

And that is a good point. However, despite the fact that I EDC a Millie, I am still going for the Native as one of the best values in the knife world.markg wrote:I will go a different direction...
The Military...
You can often find the knife for a tad over $100...
For a full sized tactical folder, G-10, S30V steel... That is a bargain.

+1. The CF Sage is without a doubt the best combination of materials and price my opinion. Can't wait for that Sage RIL.The Deacon wrote:...... No contest!
Waved Endura! This is, all around, simply an amazing bargain. VG-10, FRN with steel liners, the wave...this knife is outstanding. This knife is light, strong, great steel...and remarkably inexpensive.
