+1 on that. My SE Military is just great for working out in the yard.BAL wrote:Military, nuff said.
For the office, the Caly 3 CF is my favorite.
The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I must update my previous answer... got a saber grind endura 4 the other day... I am in love with this thing. love the blade width with this grind... This thing feels like it was just made to work hard... so that's what I intend to use it for :) So for a work knife I now say my Endura 4

Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one." - Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare Beccaria

If by workhorse, you mean subjected to the most hard use, then it's easy for me! A "regular" S30V PE Millie and a SE Endura ZDP-189. I carried both in Afghanistan for nearly a year. Both saw just about everything including what most would consider abuse and both are still part of my EDC rotation in fine shape aside from a little wear and tear and a few "battle" scars.
On order: Maxamet Native 5
Current pocket hog: S90V Para2
Next up: Something Blurple

When I think workhorse...I can only think of one Spyderco that tops all the rest in my collection...The ChinooK II. If I'm cutting, slashing, sawing, and prying...nothing holds up in the performance category as the Chinook II. For me it's not only a SD knife but a utility tool all wrapped up in one. I once was cutting some tough zip ties and the blade cut through so easy it kept on flying in a direction I didn't want it to go...right into a round cement column.....point first....I was like OMG there goes my point!!! Not only was the point still intact after-wards, there wasn't a deformation, burr or scratch on that knife....furthermore It took a rather large chuck of the concrete out of the column....amazing.....Doc :D
