Your TRUE WORKHORSE Spyderco Knife

#1

Post by Water Bug »

With Labor Day coming up, I have to ask...

What is your TRUE WORKHORSE Spyderco knife?

As much as I love my Spyderco Militarys, I have to say my TRUE WORKHORSE :spyder: is the Spyderco Delica, no matter what version we're talking about.

The Delica is just simply the most practical :spyder: I've ever worked with. It gets the job done everytime... and that's all that matters.

How about you?

Whichever one i happen to be carrying. I don't discriminate :D

I think i've probably put my Para 1 through the most work though.

Strangely enough, my two workhorses are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Orange Millie on one end and H1 Ladybug Hawkbill at the other end.

My red dyed Spyderhawk, because that's the one that goes to work with me.

For heavy cutting my SE Endura gets the call. Small jobs the Delica or Dragonfly will fill the bill.

With its rock solid and super strong lockup and long wearing steel, it's the 20CP Para 2 for me, with my M390 mule (fixed blade) close behind. Too soon to tell how my Super Blue Caly 3.5 rates because I haven't yet had it for very long, although I can say it takes the best, i.e., sharpest, edge of any of my Spydercos.
Peter - My :spyder:'s:
Caly~3.5 (VG-10 & S. Blue); Para2~(20CP~M390~S30v); Military~(M390~S30v); Endura & Delica~4~FFG; Native~(S30v); Caly~Jr.~(ZDP); Manix~2~(M4); Ladybug~3~(VG-10. SE); Mules~(M390).

I carry my Sage1 and Para2 mostly, but the one I "abuse" most is my SE Pacific salt.

The one knife I can use without shame is always my Tenacious. I don't feel as bad if something happens to it due to the price.

Believe it or not, my rescue gets used the most right now out of any other spider followed close behind, my H1 dragonfly.

The two that have probably "cut the most stuff" would be my Lignum Vitae Stretch and my Chaparral. That little guy did yeoman service from the time I began preparing to move until most of my stuff was unpacked.

Wrecking Bar knives

#14

Post by JD Spydo »

The 2 Spyders that I put through the most torturous tasks are my G-10 Harpy and my full Spyderedge, Golden CO USA Earth, 440V Native. Those are what I call my "wrecking bar" knives.

All of my user Hawkbills are usually put through some pretty tough tasks.

Also in the Fixed Blade category I have my trusty pair of Spyderco Temperance 1 models ( SE & PE). Those guys have been with me through some pretty rough times and both still look close to new.

My Para 2 sees a lot of work, and the Chaparral has been doing a lot of light chores lately. But the really dirty, grimy jobs go to the Tenacious.

Original C83 Persian never failed me to any job, what I need. Can say the same about Caly 3.5.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian
