I was thinking of another SKU with the 3.5" Techno ;) I'm a happy owner of a Lil'Temp, but still looking forward to seeing the new design. Brown G10?

The Lil Temperance is one of my favorite and prized posessions. My only complaint is the clip, it is too big and I don't like how it feels when you grip it. Other than that the knife is perfect. One thing that worries me is that this model will go the way of the chinook. With each improvement (how ever well intentioned) the chinook became less desireable. I would try to keep it as close to the original as possible but the clip has to go. Can we get it in orang? I had a dream last knight that I had to use my knife for defense. I was relieved in my dream that I was packing my Lil Temperance. I know that knife is not going to fail me.

It's gone the way of the Chinook for half a decade ;) .

Since we have been speculating and hoping with this thread since 2009 I would welcome any revision at this point.
As long as they do a few rhinos as well :D .

Giving this thread a bump. Any news on the LT2? This and a new ATR would be must haves for me. I'd love to see a proto! So has anyone heard any good news?

Hi Matt,

I received a prototype sample last week. I've been carrying it daily. They did an excptional job. The clip isn't quite right, so we'll need some minor adjustments to the clip / divot, but otherwise very nice. I'm looking forward to this model. We've been working on it for years.

The long term plan is to make an FRN version, but we'll need to refine the design with G-10 ( or ?) versions to make sure the FRN version is optimal. Then we'll tool up for an FRN version.

Same leaf shape blade. Steel is VG-10. Handle is black G-10 with nested liners. 4 way hourglass clip.

Certainly variations are possible if demand is there. Once we're tooled up and building, it's just a matter of capacity to make variations. I'll probably want a ZDP-189 version with BRG FRN scales.

Awesome! I'm very excited to get the 2nd version, as I missed the first Lil Temperance. Will the G-10 be a textured G-10 like a PM2, or will it be smooth, like the 1st LT?

Thanks Sal! :) Is the G-10 run going to be very limited, or will there be a good amount of them? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just excited for it to be released. :D

This is exciting stuff. I'm liking everything, especially the nested liners. I would kind of like to see it in another color g10. I plan on trying to get this and the g10 stretch 2 when they come out and hopefully call it good :) Cant wait to see something !

Hi Sal.

Thank you for bringing the lil temperance back.
I am a huge fan of the design i carry my leaf regurly on the weekends and i love it. Although i do not give it anything to cut that could give it any scars or something ( they are way to hard to replace as a collectors peace ) But i still use it.

And i think personally for me that knife is one of "THE" best knife designs from spyderco i have to my feelings. it is still small enough, the blade is just outstanding for every cutting task i can think off, i just love the green ( its my favorite collor ) and it's build like a tank. PERFECT!! :)
i have 2 grails from the first one. A cpm-s30v leaf and a cpm-440v Rhino. And i am thrilled to see both of them coming back. if possible i will buy all the g-10 plain edge versions so i have my collection compleet.

greetings Apollo
