Yellow :spyder: can be dyed Orange, Green, Mud/Golden Brown and Red :D . Ladybug was my first attempt at dyeing yellow frn and didn't come out the right shade of orange, so I redyed it again with red liquid rit dye. Saver Salt was my second attempt and the shade of orange is perfect, I used a combination of yellow and scarlet red liquid rit dye dunking the knife for a less than a minute, rinsing to check on the color and applying more dye as needed. The trick is not to let the knife sit in the dye solution long enough for it to turn black. Green PE Tasman was spoused be be blue, but came out a shade of OD like green :) which I like, and the SE Tasman was planed to be green and after seeing the results on the PE I decided to mix a bunch of different dyes to achieve this Coyotish Brown color which matches my CB webbing and gear pretty well. Salt I and Grey frn UKPK still sporting their original colors.
p.s. Salt I and Saver Salt see regular edc rotation as a pair and while there is some yellow seen in a few spots where the knife gets rubbed or scratched it has been holding up very well. I didn't let the dye sip into this one too deep in order to achieve the right shade of color.

I've died many G-10 handles (FG to black) and recently several white FRN to orange. The Delicas and Enduras I took apart (fairly easy to do) and dyed just the handles. In case of the Dragonfly, it was pinned construction so I soaked the entire knife. The dye didnt' stick to the metal and easily washed off.
Below are two Delicas I dyed as well as a Dragonfly (all where white FRN).

Question bout Tie Dye
I have a knife...not a Spyderco...but a Benchmade Mini-Griptian....It is one of those Pink Handled (Molded nylon handle) Breast Cancer Awareness Knife...I was wondering if the light Pink Handle could be dyed. Black might work...but do you think I could turn it red?....and how would I do that?....Anyone with any experience with the Nylon handles on the Benchmade?.....Doc :D

I've boiled a few SureFire and Streamlight flashlights in the RIT pot ... I'll certainly dunk a few Spydies very soon.
I'm sure a good soak in boiling red RIT would do the trick on that BM.
Remember.. the darker the color you seek, the longer the soak.
I took my lights out of the boil and into ice cold running tap water immediately - to cure any color bleed.
Lookie here ... these lights were all yellow to start with

I know this doesn't have anything to do with white dyed frn handles, but thought i would share my experience with dying g10.
I dyed my para2 from grey to redish about 8 months ago and carried it all summer while working construction. The dye has held up pretty good, its faded a lot and the grey is starting to poke out on the edges a bit.

Hey guys, first post here at the spyderco forums. First off sorry to be reviving a year old thread. I have a dfly2 salt yellow and was hoping to dye it "toxic green" if possible. I read on this thread some people toying with the idea of trying to achieve the same lime green starting with yellow, just wondering if anyone has tried. Thanks in advance for any replys.
