Until you mentioned it, I never even realized that there was a blank spot in between the Volpe (C99) and the Mini Manix (C101). And I call myself a Spyderco enthusiast *embarrassed*

Given it's neighbours, that would be quite a spot to fill :D :D

As mentioned, we felt that the C100 should be a special model. Originally, we planned on the double action Vallotin design called the "Samaritan".
when prouction glitches put the model on a "slow track" and then the Customs issue came up, we just put the model number on hold until we came up with a model that we felt deserved the number.

We're still saving the C06 for the "Tusk".

On the USA, Earth. "It seemed like a good iea at the time" :rolleyes: We've received so many comments about it's presence and uniquness, that it has become a permanent trademark of the Golden made Spyderco's. I will say that some don't like it, or understand it, but from a marketing point of view, it has come to have value.
