From my heart I perfer the SS's beauty, but on the other hand I prefer the G10's practics. Poliwog is Poliwog anyway, it is one of the most beautiful :spyder: s and it is useful and public friendly, at the same time. Who needs more?

And you can customise, if you want to. Poliwog is screw together construction, so you can change the handle to micarta, other colored G10, stabilized wood, stabilized stone, etc what ever you pleased. You only need the some material, tools and handcraft.
Rusty blades are awful.
Girls with rusty hair are wonderful!!!

I tried my best to dislike it (the Poliwog), But I fell in love with the design...particularly after looking at Mr Blonde's pics. I finally gave in and bought an SS model when it came up at the right price.

Now, as a rule, I try to travel 'lite' through life, I'm not sentimental and discard things I don't use often. But I think my little Poliwog is an exception to the rule, I've kept the clear plastic protectors on the scales and convinced myself that this (now discontinued) model is an investment that I can flog off for a small profit to a keen collector... but I don't know....

my one and only little 'safe-queen' may stay with me for a while yet :)

But it is bloody heavy! :( (a G10's more practical) :D

I currently only own the SS version but I bought it as the G-10 ones were coming out. Aesthetically the SS version is more appealing to me. The cutouts in the handle make the knife look so great! I do not mind the weight of it as much as some others do. But I want a G-10 one eventually just to carry around more. The only downside to the SS version is the slick handles and how easily it gets scratched up. (i'm kind of anal about it :o ) The G-10 is far more grippy :)
