I'm trying to find a good oil lub to use for my spydies. What do y'all use?
Any suggestions?

I use Inox, which is a fishing reel lube. Seems to work fine for me in lubrication, cleaning, and refreshing aged micarta etc. I have also tried Singer sewing machine oil and it seems to also be quite OK, though it is slightly more viscous and seems to attract a bit more lint !
Cheers

(inventors site)
Some guys on the fiveseven forum put this stuff in their barrels, added an extra 50 fps velocity :D Aparrently, it also reduced trigger pull by a few lbs, and worked well on one of their Benchmades.

Militec & Sentry Solutions
I use several different cleaning a lubrication products on my knives. Most of my use for lubricating moving parts on folders I use Militec synthetic oil. I use Breakfree & Ballistol for applications that require cleaning, lubricating and protecting.
I have used Tuf-Glide on occasions for different lubrication jobs. Tuf-Glide is made by Sentry Solutions who make a great line of knife, Gun & fishing reel maintenance products.
On very tightly machined stainless handled knives and/or automatic knives I use a dry lube made by Sentry Solutions known as BP-2000. I like it far better than graphite.
Again Militec and Sentry Solutions both make great products for what most of us in this hobby need.

We need a new sub-forum for FAQ's
Many topics come up repeatedly over time. This topic is an example.
An FAQ of these topics would be a good reference for newer visitors here. A well designed poll of forum members various choices could give an overall snapshot of what I might want to try.
On the downside is the extra time a new forum would add to Spyderco's time and cost.
The upside would be the consolidation of information and reduced threads that cover previously covered topics.
Edit: Not meant to be a highjack of this thread.

Oils on knives and guns
For years I have used Tuf-Glide as a bore cleaner, preservative and solvent.
For lubrication and preservation the best thing that I have found is Birchwood Casey Synthetic Gun Oil. It comes out of the can clear and will absolutely lube and protect metal finishes especially long term. I swear by it.
