I have experienced the same with Savson lately. I tried to call them and email them, but no response/.

I also use The Cuttlery Shoppe. Jeff has always provided me with great service and honest opinions about the knives he sells. He is also in Idaho so I can support a local business.

+1 for Warriors and Wonders. Their recent Boxing Day sale was awesome. And since have dropped alot of their prices for 2010.

Best prices and best service: Jeff at The Cutlery Shoppe

I also want to give a big thumbs up to KnifeWorks for the M4 Millie dealer exclusive.

If you like to buy below cost, check out PoorFish on eBay, sometimes they have crazy discounts.

The Cutleryshoppe is hands down my favorite dealer. I sent Jeff an email Christmas eve night, walked away for not more than two minutes, came back and he had already responded. I have tried some other dealers, some good and one bad, but I know anything I get for now on will be from the cutleryshoppe.

This thread has whiskers but since it's been resurrected...

http://yourcornerstore.com

The good: Fantastic prices and fast shipping. I once ordered on a Sunday night and had my package in hand on Wednesday.

The bad: Never seems to have items in stock. You'll see a lot of backorders.

I also have to recommend Charity Chimni - service above and beyond what is normal for the best of the online dealers.

Honorable mention for New Graham Knives - also excellent service, it's probably only their volume that limits them from providing the extra service which Charity provides.

And specifically in Canada, Le Baron is the only online dealer that I have found to have prices competitive with the U.S. stores. (Warriors & Wonders gouges on shipping.)

They can be difficult to order from, since you are essentially ordering from their catalogue and have no idea what they actually have in stock, but the prices are good.
If you speak with Jay at W&W's, you can address the shipping issue. One of the reasons I support his business.

LeBarons is not so good in my experience. I have one nearby, stock is always small and I find their prices are inflated. However they are having a deal on ZDP E4's and D4's atm. Getting a Byrd Wings from there maybe tomorrow.

I just perused this site and use XE.com to convert the prices to Canadian gold.

Prices are amazing on a lot of items.

How is this place for shipping to Canada?

Any Canadians with issues getting knives over the border?

It seems that one place doesn't have the best prices for *all* Spydies, but rather many good places have great deals on different models. I found that expectations are set appropriately by verifying the model you want is in stock before ordering.

My favorite places are:
http://www.cutleryshoppe.com (Got my first D2 Para for $95)
http://www.knifeworks.com (Got my second D2 Para for $105)
http://www.newgraham.com (Got a Pink E4 CE for $50)
http://www.knifecenter.com (I'm an addict for their specials but verify an item is 'In Stock' before ordering.)
http://www.sierratradingpost.com (Got two Caly3 SEs for $52 and a Tenacious SE for $22)
http://www.amazon.com (Got a E4 FG CE for $52.50 shipped)
poor_fish on eBay (Got a Khukuri for $75 shipped!)

I've had less than ideal experiences with the following:
gizmoejoes1 on eBay (My first Caly3 turned out to be a second.)
spydieguys on eBay (I was 'encouraged' to send an Orange Assist I with a manufacturing defect to Golden rather than to them for an exchange.)

Ira

Cutlery Shoppe has always been good to me, and they are my "go to" retailer, also Knifecenter, and Country Knives for the hard to find ones.

I buy the vast majority of my new Knives from Tom Berry at Spydercovt...........great service and a great guy!

http://spydercovt.com/

Older knives and special deals usually from the Knife Center and I do buy occasionally from NGK over the years...........both great outfits with consistent quality of service..........

All the rest are bought thru' deals on BF, Knife BST or other such forums.

NEVER buy knives from Ebay........real bad experience with them!

My best deals were all on eBay, either from stores like PoorFish or from individuals.

This will probably be a bit redundant but my go to shops are:

Cutlery Shoppe- I can't say enough good about the customer service I got from Jeff. He's a really stand up guy. Bought a CF Caly III a few months ago that was pretty rough in the tang. He took it back no questions and hand picked me a "perfect" replacement. Top notch.

Knife Works- Ordered from them recently and received the knives the very next day. Fastest shipping I have ever seen before.

New Graham- Michael is great.

Knife Center- Ordered multiple knives from them and never had a problem.

Your corner store- Good prices. Make sure the item is in stock.

EBAY Seller:

Poor Fish- Great service. Have bought at least 10 knives and no problems.

SpydieGuys- Have ordered several knives. No issue. Don't like paying Texas sales tax though.

Your knife connection- Bought a couple of knives. No problem.

stormeroutdoors- Bought a Sage 1. Great price and quickly shipped.

That's all I can think of right now. I noticed people keep listing Charity Chimni but the link doesn't work. Anyone have something updated?
