That's just silly.

If there ever where a merger Spyderco. would buy BM not the other way around.

I don't see why so many people seem to think this is an absolutely absurd proposition. None of us have any idea as to the financial situations of either Benchmade or Spyderco. If it makes good business sense to both companies, and they can agree upon the proper terms, I don't see any reason why such a collaboration, merger, etc., couldn't possibly occur at some point.

I don't think people are commenting on this being an absolutely absurd proposition as much as how "a guy at the knife counter" seems to be the only source of this "information."

In other words, if someone at a used car lot told me with absolute conviction that Ford and Chevy were combining, I'd have much the same reaction. ;)
