recently, I've seen a few good movies. this is odd because i usually don't watch many movies (haven't seen a lot of things) anyway, Casino Royale was good (this is the first bond flick that i've seen to prove my point- may have to watch some others), also Rocky Balboa was good. i thought it was going to be terrible, but it surprised me. also pitch black and chronicles of riddick were pretty good. However, the best thing i've seen in a while has to be Clerks II. hilarious. Sadly butch and i made the observation that it could have almosty been about the 2 of us. at least we have the uplifting ending to cheer us up. :)

We rented a movie a couple of weeks ago that I had seen as a teen. I remembered it all these years but I have never seen it again. The movie is a James Stewart movie called "The Stratton Story" It is based on a true story. Evidently, it has just been released on DVD. I ought it already. It is full of things that IMHO most movies are lacking these days.

I saw 'The Departed' yesterday; the best film of the month for sure! What a thrilling ride of a movie. Plus, I love the Boston accent and scenery!

Fuglee wrote:...I watched Equilibrium again the other day. It is a terrific film in my opinion that got almost no press and went quickly to dvd. Most people I talk to have never heard of it. It is a great action flick though, with Christian Bale and Sean Bean. Futeristic type film with a Fahrenheit 451 kick and good acting. Definately worth renting!

Yes, highly reccommended. I think you won't be dissapointed, I liked it a lot.

Aside from Disney and Cartoons with my 2-1/2 year old...(You never know who you'll meet on Sesame Street)

I've seen some pretty decent WAR Flicks.

The Great Raid
Flyboys (better than the critics implied)
Saving Private Ryan (again)
Farewell to the King (the best part is that the lead Borneo native is played by legendary Big Wave Hawaii Surfer Gerry Lopez)

and

The Big Red One (Was anybody ever tougher than Lee Marvin?)

just saw the departed tonight. i have to say it was one of the more enjoyable films of the past year. Great cast, and well worth the price of admission.

The best movie I've seen this past month was "Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte"
