Not at all, I used to have a PE one, it was only about my 3rd ever spydie, I lost it about 4 years ago though, been looking for another one ever since, there's too much other stuff I need first though...

It IS a great knife, like having a little yojimbo in your wallet :D

Oooooh, you will need to show pics of that.

I think the spydercard is one of the coolest credit card knives I've seen, and there was a time when I looked at a lot. I would definately get one, but I have many things to buy also.

How about bringing the spydercard back as a "byrdcard"?

I want to see it brought back in Vg-10 or S30V. (Maybe even H-1). Just bring it back!

$75 seems steep, even for overseas prices. Often a bit of searching and some patience will save you money...but hard to say how many Spydercards made it over the pond. On the other hand, considering you get to inspect the knife and not having to worry about any shipping/import mishaps, $75 might be worth it for peace of mind.
Follow the mushin, but pay it no heed.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread, but where did you find the sashimi knife? I've been looking for one for a little while.

I have no idea, but I found this site and I guess I'm a sucker for deals so I'm the guinea pig for this one. I ordered one partially serrated and one plain and I'll let you know. $19.99 + $5.00 shipping

There is a byrd version. Should be here next month. smaller, lighter, more ergonomic. Called the "flatbyrd". MSRP about $25.

Hi Blub,

If you've got an original Spydercard, I would hold on to it. It's a classic and the first of its type. The designer, Eduard Bradichansky was killed a week before the knife was released. (Hamas attack). The knife has history and spirit.

The new byrd version is a refinement of his original design. His wife receives his royalties.

For those who still want a SpyderCard, a friend of mine who is an authorized dealer has some new-old stock in PE and SE and is selling them for about 35-40 bucks. PM me if you are interested.

Really Cannot wait for Flatbyrd.

Seems like within 60 days period, we will have a lot of new models and also enhancement models coming out. Better save up for the new members in my collection.
