Wounds look real enough to me. Nothing special though. Good stitching exercise for a young doctor, or two, or three.

As bad as those wounds look, this person is very fortunate the knife wielding person did not for whatever reason slash or puncture a major artery. I am not a medical doctor or an EMT, but I have seen my share of knife wounds and some have not been able to show their wounds, alive that is. It would be interesting to hear the whole story. Professional or not those wounds are still impressive and shows the damage a knife can do even in undertrained hands!

I have known inmates to weld two blades into the toothbrush, a quarter inch apart.................................there is no better "seamstress" than a prison medic!

Yeah...I've seen similar too...gave me four stitches in my forehead worth of education. I opened a cell door to general population and got rushed. He used a Bic razor, disposable, and broke the head off of it, placed the blade in the hollow handle and melted the handle around it. Really an over-rated experience (really sucked), but a valuable one none the less. I agree though...looks clean like a razor.

As I know it (and there are many accounts of where these pics are from) the US Marshal Service distributed these photos for training purposes and they depict knife attack wounds of a member of a gang who received these wounds in an encounter with rival gang members...Doc :D
