I don't believe so. Looking at the pictures I do believe it's a front flipper. Design reminds me of Astute. Very pleasing and easy to the eye. Hopefully the ergo will be the same as the Astute. Design looks promising and I'm sure if it was Golden made magnacut /carbon fibre combo everyone would be all over it.

Pretty bummed that the shelter cove is a budget knife. Been waiting so long for a premium fillet knife from Spyderco.

The Buttonup looks like it was designed by committee. Like they asked ai to design a spyderco and it just mashed Spyderco’s best selling models together.

There isn’t much of interest to me in this one which is rare.

I wish the Cove got the same treatment as the southfork and Sprig

I sure think it is. I see a small flipper tab on the back, and no front flipper at all.

"spine of the handle" is what we're all seeing and that sounds like a standard flipper to me. as opposed to a front flipper. use of the index finger also points to standard flipper since front flippers are typically engaged with the thumb in the front of the knife. either way, it's still a nice looking design.

I should have been clear that when I said “I sure think it is.” I was responding to the question “Is that a typo?” so yes we are all in agreement. Cool design for sure.
