It's definitely something to be aware of. Each should make up their own mind of course, but be informed with accurate data. I'm now past 10 Weeks since I ordered and have not received my order...
I wont be recommending them (Dack) to anyone, based on my experience.

u.w.
Dack quotes 1 month, but I had one order go 2 months, and another is just a couple days shy of 2 months. I emailed them about the 2nd order, saying all items are currently in stock, and that another order I placed after the delayed order had already shipped, so I thought maybe the delayed order was missed somehow. They replied the order would ship soon (but it has not), and they further said if I sent another email then I would go to the end of the line - this is NOT how you attract and retain customers. They are ok if all you care about is prices, but customer service sucks! BTW, they have no customer support by phone.
they do have phone support. I spoke with them when there was a mix up with my street beat lightweight.

I tried to cancel the order because I got some unexpected time off from work and wanted the knife in time for a backpacking trip. Told them over the phone it was taking too long to process the cancellation so I'm going to do a chargeback. They said, ok, we'll note that and try to process the cancellation.

3.5 weeks later the street beat from them showed up :rofl

oh well, great knife, don't mind having multiples.

My wait times have been 30-60 days from Dack, but actually much longer from the Knife Center. I have one order from KC that has been well over 60 days, they do keep sending emails that it will be processed. The prices at DACK and KC are so much lower than with most other sellers, it's well worth the wait for me.

Ya I don't get all the hate. Dack is very upfront about the wait times and I've only had good experiences with a little patience. Don't want to wait? Pay more and order somewhere else.

...
Apparently their phone support policy changed - this is what is currently on their website at
https://intercom.help/dack-outdoors/en/ ... k-outdoors

What? No phone support?
Trust us, we'd love to offer 24/7 phone support right now. While the big box stores will gladly offer you phone support, they'll also gladly charge you more for their products. Way more.

Sure, we could offer phone support even with our low prices - but you'd be stuck with someone that has no idea what our products are or how our business operates. You'd likely just speak to someone not even based in the US of A.

As a family-owned-and-operated online retailer, the last thing we want to do is outsource our customer support to an outside entity that doesn't understand our products or customers like we do.

I see no phone # listed anywhere in their contact info.

The Native 5 LW 15V BBB Sprint is available for 140.84 at National Knives. Good deals on other 15Vs as well.

https://www.nationalknives.com/spyderco ... m-15v-bla/

Perhaps the folks wanting to discuss Dack could start a thread for it.

Here is whay they say on their website home page:
Need it soon? We’re not your Huckleberry. Our shipments can take up to 30 days. Our prices explain why

They are not totally upfront or they would say something like up to 30-60 or 30-90 or whatever is more accurate.

I agree. This is a deal thread not a debate thread. Thank you for sharing.

For Schempp Bowie fans, there's one on the Bay for $200 or best offer. Good price if you're looking for this particular model.

Riclaw,

Thanks for the link. I looked for the knife and ended up finding another one of his fixed blade models I had to have instead... make matters worse it was way more than 200 bucks too. Had to have it.

Dack is great. Love the place…strange that some people don't, as they are very upfront about what they do.

Anyway, got a smoking deal on a Spy27 Bodacious there.

Didn't have them tagged for 950. I was figuring 500 bucks. The good news here is I got one here just about an hour ago. So glad I got one too. I would have been buying that one off ebay otherwise, wow that is really screaming to me just how special a knife these are...
