I wonder if this is the last run of REX45 that we see?

It depends. As far as I know dealer exclusives are paid upfront. And depending on the factory queue and when the actual dealer wants to release it it could take months until it's ready. So if there's a lot of exclusives planned maybe, just maybe Spyderco stockpiled a good amount of it so they can fulfil the orders. My guess is we'll get to see two maybe three more exclusives in that flavour.

The White G10 scale is being saved for a Damascus version of the UK
Maybe I am splitting hairs but is that not ivory g10?

On a separate note, where do you get the blue/purple (blurple) g10 from please? I know it's not to everyone's taste but I would love to have VP creations make me some scales on that.

Just in case you're not limiting this question to just the Urban, my Paramilitary 2 - Purple G-10 - Black Cru-Wear Blade came from DLT Trading back in September 2023. So, it originally came with Purple G-10 scales.

Edit: Here is a look at this one:

Sorry.

Edited my question a little.

WHERE can someone buy the blue/purple G10 that has been used on stuff like the Military 2?

Speaking of the white G10, here is my Damascus G10 Urban next to my new Rex 45!

My most used Urbans. All with new clothing. Well, kind of. The Damasteel Urban is rocking the brass scales for 3 years now. And the Rex 45 urban just got the new scales today.

They do look nice. I've been carrying my K390 Urban lately. New clothes might get it into my pocket more often

Those scales appear to be made by VP Creations in the UK:

Correct. I think he has the most options for UKPK, Urban and Squeak. There's titanium, aluminium, brass, copper, carbon fiber, micarta, stabilised wood. A lot of them are made to order and one of a kind.

Why did you have to go and spend my money?!

Wonder if the lock got CQI to be a little more like the UKPK or if it’s always going to be stiff…
Stiff is good … especially in a slipit
In my experience (sample of one FRN SPY27 UKPK and one K390 Urban), the Urban is stiffer and drags more through the whole opening while the UKPK is smooth through opening while also having a crisper half-stop and a stronger, crisper detent at full open.

The Urban's not bad per se, but the UKPK is pretty much the epitome of one hand opening slipjoint action to me.

I am still very interested in this Urban. 😁

If we're going to talk about the best action in a Spyderco slipit, then the conversation begins and ends with the OG titanium scale UKPK. (with the Ti/Elmax Squeek a close second)

The latest iteration of the UKPK backspring does have a very confidence inspiring notchiness on close though...

Also, the spring stiffness and overall feel of the Urban has been quite variable, with the Japanese made ones I have being in the middle and Italian produced knives having both stronger and weaker spring tension, all have been smooth and notchier on average than the original UKPKs I own.
