Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
That would be awesome ! I don't contribute with beautiful pictures like most people, especially during the last year, but I'd love to see all of them reunited, in any form :)

Just more reason to jump back in! More the merrier, it's just tougher on the weekly judges, but funner for everyone else.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Yeah I've failed to be active much in 2024...
My work isn't much compatible with carrying a knife and I don't use the phone much out of work lol.
I make knife pictures, but they're god awful ! I need to think ahead

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Some of my best and most satisfying photos I take (speaking as a total amateur), are usually just improvised shots and unplanned spots where I just find myself standing around...
Don't be afraid to just upload something and see if it sticks or strikes an emotion out of someone here. If not, no loss no harm, we're not actually grading, well I'm not!

Hi @StarTraveler I didn’t notice your post until tonight but it’s really cool you know the park…I try to stop in a couple times a week for a little hiking/dog walking/picture taking because it’s a short drive from the house…take your GSD over with your Chap and snap a pic, I’m sure y’all will both enjoy itStarTraveler wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 8:15 amI've enjoyed going through this thread and looking at the photos but this one was really cool because I recognized the location right away. We used to take our GSDs there pretty often but the older one is gone now and the younger one seems older and less agile since he's been gone. Maybe she'd like to do it again sometime soon for old time's sake to remember her buddy and, when we do, I'll have my new Chaparral CF in my pocket.

Jmj,
That mule at the top of your pic with the amber clear colors scale and out of 15v to boot, well sir it's freak'n awesome...
I can't even shoot a pic of it that good if I had your knife here lol.

Saltycaribbean,
The scales on your mule here are amazing even the middle rivet bolt through has a little extra design in the head of it. Really nice slicer you got there.

Thank you! Yep, its a 15V Mule with Halpern Titanium textured/contoured scales. I put a razor mirrored edge on it with my KME. It's sat since I sharpened it. It needs to go do something useful with itself.

I've still got a Serrata somewhere I should dust off. Cool knife that I think was unfairly overlooked in its time.
The Phil Wilsons in my eyes are some of the most beautiful production fixed blades out there.
Nice group shot

You guys, @SpeedHoles included, are too kind ! I have to admit that I still like my RWL34 Mule shot :) Ended up selling it to a friend that really loved it, I hope he uses it plenty

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Gonna throw in a last minute (maybe last second) entry... not my usual outdoor photo but it's the best I got this week. Love me some 15V.

Edit to add: I do really like Sal's idea of a compilation of photos from this thread! Just let me know what I can do to help.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Sorry for running it to the last minute but I had a 5 hour drive in freezing rain/fog that just ended up taking 7 hours with a two hour detour to avoid a major accident. Anyway... Home now and time to pick.
First this week to SpeedHoles.
Nice work to everyone.
