Mini Bodacious???

I be interested in a lil bodacious

The lack of thumb ramp and finger choil would be nice in a smaller knife

Sold my LT3 because it felt fat and awkward compared to LeafJumper. It also had poor action even being a compression lock so maybe I had a dud but its par for the course with every seki I've owned without weeks of opening and closing. Mini bodacious could absolutely work and would absolutely work. It would fall into the size category that Drift and Rosie (neither having forward choils) is in and that is a near perfect EDC size. A N5 compression would be a great runner up too.

I don't have the LT3 LW but I have had 2 copies of the original Lil' Temperance 3 in G-10. While I like the knife for what it is, it's a common problem with almost all G-10 models that the comp lock action is underwhelming. I don't know if the same issue persists with the LW version. I agree with you here on all accounts, it would compete with the Drift and Rosie (I don't get the hype on that knife and the hyperinflated prices it goes on the market).

The Bodacious and the LT3 aren't similar and comparable at all, except maybe for the leaf shaped blade and the compression lock. No, the LT3 isn't an "almost" mini-Bodacious. There's a thumb ramp in the blade and the handle is very awkwardly shaped, with the palm swell nearly at the bottom of the handle, compared to the Bodacious/Shaman's nearly neutral handle with the palm swell nearly at the center. The LT3 was marketed as a self-defense knife, while the Bodacious (and possible mini version) wasn't marketed to do that (though it could do that too, as any other knife or bladed instrument).

There is definitely an opportunity here for a mini-Bodacious and I hope Golden management is listening.

I couldn't even shake the LT3 LW shut. I'm sure like most seki models which have overly tight tolerances it would have eventually dropped shut with obsessive opening and closing, but who has the patience for that when for the MSRP it should do that out the box.

Ah, so the LW still suffers from the same problem as the OG G-10 version. I had hoped that it would have been rectified, but some things just aren't that adaptable to change I guess. My G-10 LT3 wouldn't flick open properly, and I had to do a 2-step when closing the compression lock by pressing the lock first, then pinching the knife between my thumb and middle finger while my index finger closes the blade.

Looks like a great technique, vivi. Unfortunately the G10 LT3 suffers from a gritty pivot action that I cannot seem to remedy, even after opening, cleaning and lubing more than once. I doubt this technique would be able to remedy the poor action the G10 LT3 has.

Also, (speaking for me only) I doubt I'd be able to use this technique since I'm a lefty.

yeah, a compression that isn't drop shut IMO is worse than a backlock in nearly every way.
