It's one I've anticipated for even longer than this knife has been official.

Have you checked out the SE ARK? Also 2mm blade stock but hollow grind. It's pretty crazy.

Yea that’s really cool. Discontinued though right? Glad I snuck an Ayoob when I could at least.

If these serrations are on par with the Caribbean, this is going to be a vicious little knife. I'd be really interested in a MagnaCut Salt version.
I agree if the Chap gets a Magnacut SE it would replace my Dragonfly Salt . Dan
Oooooo…

There not a lot I agree with on the internet but this is one of those things. I’m not sure it would replace the dragonfly for me, but… that would be one amazing version of this knife and I would buy it.

This is nothing more than an observation, but I just noticed it has one of the shortest plain edge tips I've seen on a Spyderedge blade.

Not sure what I need it for, but those serrations looks good. I might have to get one just for the pleasure of cutting with that insane geometry every once in a while. Thus joining my collection under the same premise as my ARK SE, but since one is a fixed and the other is a folder, I think that is within the rules of the Non-collecting collector association

I had just about swore off buying any future models that aren't a Bodacious variant but this one will be mine soon.

I am pretty intrigued by this one and I just ordered one. I love the serrations on my Caribbean but I don’t find myself carrying it very often. I think the Chap will see a lot more pocket time and I can’t wait to try out the Taichung serrations in a more compact package.
Do right always. It will give you satisfaction in life.

I could carry my Chap LW every day if I didn’t have other knives to grab. It’s just perfect. If I ever wanted to sell off the bulk of my knives (and the thought crosses my mind a lot), this would be the last to go.

That is a big statement, and all the more reason for me to get one.

Might be a stupid question but what are the bigger differences between the Sage 5 and the Chaparral?

Seem very similar in size, lock, geometry, etc.
