Plain Edge, Stonewash S30V, Contoured smooth black G-10, Stonewash hardware...

The base model Shaman.
I agree, that is a sweet combo.

The linerlock S90V/CF Millie is my number one but yeah, the Knifeworks exclusive is a close second

the Caribbean really works for me . MG2
^This x2. Criminally underrated knife in the line up. I don't even need the salt rated aspect of it. I'd still fanboy for the design if it was just S30v and black g10.

This, but with a backlock (or linerlock) ,would be so great.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

My best 2 knives, that I will never sell are ..... I cannot say until I buy more copies for backup! :winking-tongue

If I published that info and folks went out and bought all of them up I'd be very bummed out. Keep the thread going for another month, and I'll tell you what I bought! I'll have both of these Spydercos within 30 to 60 days!!!!

Can I guess? Variants of the Native Chief, perhaps?? Are you waiting for the Magna NC, as I am?
:shush

Hahahahahahahahaha.... possibly 2 folders, one fixed blade. Yeppers, I'm also waiting for the Magnacut Native Chief and that would be 3 folders.

If I were in a trading room at the NYSE I'd be telling everyone, "SPYDERCO IS A STRONG BUY!"

Lil’ Native back lock with G-10 handles and S30v blade steel. All are proven and durable materials. S30v blade steel is well known and understood. Edge lasts for a while depending on cutting tasks and is easy to sharpen.

This one comes to mind, for me. PM2 is a great knife and 15V is one of my favorite steels. Top favorite for edge performance for my usage. I haven't been carrying it much lately because we're stuck in a very rainy weather pattern but I did get it out today.

But the AWT liner delete is a freaking revelation for the PM2.

I can guess, but would you describe what makes the AWT scales fabulous?

It's so much lighter, and the contouring just melts into your hand. It also has a nice subtle texture. A pleasure to carry and use. I like the ugly ones ;)

PM2 CruCarta.

If the Native 5 could be done as a CruCarta it would take 1st position. My fave N5s are the KC CruWear/Smooth Black G10 exclusives.

Would be nice if there were some N5 production version using CruWear.

Yes, even if it's just a LW model.

Tried to give my general answer early on in this thread (viewtopic.php?p=1784013#p1784013), all shaped around the fact that my personal "single best configuration" just has to feature a serrated blade.

When it comes to PE though out of all Spydies I own and owned, here are my no. 1 (on top) and no. 2 best configurations...

Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

The rumored lightweight backlock Caribbean continues to be my dream knife. I hope we see one eventually!

I just purchased 1 of the knives that I was considering.

I bought another M390 Spyderco Native Chief direct from Spyderco. I may buy another one in a couple of weeks.

It could be one of two knives that are most likely to find their way into my pocket nowadays.

The first is an Endura K390 LW SE. I carry it most days. I can count on it to hack through anything that is hackable.

The other knife is the Stretch 2 XL CruWear. The plain edge is more sensible for many tasks, but I don't like the G10 as much as I like a bidirectional FRN.

The common features of these knives are the size and the back lock. Honestly, I like the CBBL better, but the Manix 2 is too small, and the Manix 2 XL is too pudgy. So if there was to be one Holy Grail knive, it would be either my Endura or Stretch.
