I meant your previous post wasn't exactly the most positive puppies and rainbows post I've read today on the forum.

Let me know what’s in it, it was the one in my cart I could not check out with due to the VPN error. ;)

I'm worried about how the shower knife will be carried without the sheath.

You keep it in an old shampoo bottle.

I'll keep the rest for myself, otherwise I might look like I'm looking for parasocial relationships...

Holy cow! I've never heard the term "parasocial" before. I had to look it up, which led to about half an hour of reading before I had to call it quits. Of course I've always been aware of the phenomenon, but didn't know there was a word, let alone extensive research on the subject.

Now please excuse me. As much as I'd like to continue this parasocial interaction, I really want to go read more about human psychology.

Ahah :rofl It is a very contemporary subject, especially with all the "influencers" filling a lot of people's lives. But I was a bit sarcastic with it, we often talk to Sal, Michael or Kristi, doesn't mean we misconstruct the real nature of these interactions !

But people on social media decided that if you're not making it very clear that you are angry : you're definitely happy :nerd
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Yes William, we all know, many times over, across both of these bitchfest threads that are dominating this normally fun and good natured forum the past few days.

Time to get over it folks, let's move on. Nothing can be done about it now. I'm sure Spyderco
is well aware of server issues or whatever the problem may be and will hopefully address that in the future.
The ;) was to indicate it was light hearted. Hard to pickup over a forum I guess.

I would leave it in the shower (depending on who else uses your shower). That way you only need an edge guard. Something like the upcoming Spyderco SharpKeeper™ maybe. Someone could also get creative like Milkman with a shampoo bottle, or duct tape or maybe a pool float noodle. Maybe magnets to stick it to a window or the tub. Or hang it by the lanyard hole on a hook on a towel rack or shower caddy. Or a home made sheath isn't impossible.
So many options!

It is a very contemporary subject, especially with all the "influencers" filling a lot of people's lives.

Right? I thought it was a new term, but it was actually coined over 60 years ago. Originally it was used in reference to tv stars, musicians, etc. Only in recent decades has it applied to Twitter, Facepage, Tic-Tac, and Spyderco Forums. Then I started thinking about face-to-face interactions and relationships. A lot of those are phony-baloney. In our careers, we maintain "friendships" or "relationships" with people out of convenience or economic necessity.

I had plenty of business relationships where I was cordial, despite having utter contempt for the person. What about good friends in other parts of the world who are seen every few years, but with whom there is frequent "social network" interaction? Somewhere there is a blurry line delineating "normal social" and "parasocial." I certainly don't know where that line is. Mabye Spyderco's Mental Health Director should start hanging out in the Forum to help us better understand these deep philosophical questions.

Well everything remaining was just deleted off the seconds site, fun while it lasted.

On the good side I checked and my computer is unblocked now, all ready for the next sale!

Waitaminute. So you're saying...that Sal and I are not mutual best friends...it's a one-sided relationship that I've simply imagined?

Question for the people who ordered multiple items successfully.

Did you have a window open to each of the products you wanted, added each to cart then checkout? Would they all show up?

Or just use one window and add each product to your cart one by one going back to the main seconds page each time?

Thanks

Hi 👋🏼 I had one single tab up on my phone's browser. I ordered items one at a time after realizing it was too cumbersome to try and cart multiple things at once.

I had multiple windows open with each item I wanted but couldn’t get any orders to process. This caused everything to be added to one cart. It you tried to check out with an OOS item, you have to remove it first, which is a nightmare in itself. I eventually got an order in with three items on it.

I had the main page loaded, then opened each item I wanted to order in a new tab. The site automatically updates the cart each time you add a new item even if it's in a separate browser tab.

I kept the main page with all the items open at all times because it was a nightmare to keep refreshing, and then timing out.
