Might I throw into the mix for consideration the cruwear Manix 2 XL? It is a surprisingly fantastic knife.

I think at $227, the Stretch 2 XL is what I’d go for. I spent nearly $300.

Cool thing about the XL: it carries almost the same as the Stretch 2, but has considerably more blade length. Much more compact than the Military, especially with a deep carry clip.

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

The Black Friday pricing tipped the scales. I still want the DLT PM2, it would find more pocket time. I do have a Birthday coming up. :party-face

I really like the Knifejoker forest green g10 combo's as well. Have the Cruwear lil Native they did. They do the same in the wharnie blade and I'll open my wallet.

I really like my DLT PM2 in Cruwear. The purple is very muted in person. I can highly reccomend it.
I'm not the original poster, but I just ordered the DLT PM2 Cruwear exclusive! I've been wanting a PM2 for a long time now and this will be my first. I really went back and forth about whether I should get a cruwear knife or not for a good chunk of time. Long story long I live a little ways out from a saltwater beach, and it gets really humid here in the summer (not that I'll be taking the knife anywhere near a beach). From everything I heard its a surprisingly corrosion resistant knife for being non-stainless.
You should be fine as long as you don't take it to the beach. Cruwear is very stainless for being non-stainless. In contrast, ZDP-189 for being stainless has developed little rust spots for me. They are in two categories but meet in the middle of knife steels in the stainless ranking. Though I have yet to see any spotting on Cruwear. Neither rust nor patina. For what it's worth, ZDP-189 does not appear to patina easily either. Just tiny rust spots.

As posted by Jeff , you should be fine with the DLC blade as long as it is properly maintained. I have four in the steel and only one coated with no issues , but also reside in Illinois so humidity can be a factor which I do watch . MG2

Thanks friends for the reassurance, I appreciate it! Makes me feel all the better about the decision.

I had the CruWear itch recently as well. I ended up grabbing the Knife Center exclusives of their Smooth G10 CruWear Native 5 and PM2. So far so so good.

Received my Stretch 2 XL today. Wow, what a knife. Possibly the sharpest factory blade I've ever received. If only the blade limit here wasn't 3.5", I would EDC this baby.

Enjoy the heck out of it.

I will thank you. I find myself being confused at times because it really feels a lot like a PM2 to me, except with a much larger blade. I find myself trying to depress the non-existent compression lock at times. I don't have this issue with the FRN version, lol.

Received Stretch XL yesterday and today exchanged my week old Ayoob for a better example (QC issues). Both are amazing. Feels like Christmas!
Recent favourites: Massad Ayoob CPM CRU-WEAR PE & SE, Yojimbo 2, Lil' Temperance 3.
